Another Catch-Up Post...

Hi all,

Hope this finds you all well. It's been so quiet here, and hard to get motivated. Now, with tax prep looming, I thought I'd try to get a few posts ready to go before the paperwork buries me!

Here are a bunch of cards that I've forgotten to post. Let me know if you have questions!

This one is made using the Stampin'Up's Christmas Scottie set. SO stinkin' cute!

This one was one my friend, Sally McDonald's Card and a Cuppa projects. We used the Stanpin'Up set 'Paradise Palms'. Sally's daughter lives in Hawaii, so this one was lots of fun to create!

Another Stampin'Up set 'Peace to You' - such a beautiful set!

These 3 cards are also from 'Peace to You' set

These 3 cards are from a Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin Kit. Cute, and so easy!

Last, we needed a sympathy card. This one uses some pretty designer paper from Hobby Lobby, and a nice sentiment. Can't remember who makes it, but if there is need to know, I'll figure it out!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Sympathy Cards

Hi friends,

Thought I'd share what I worked on the last couple of days. I had a request to make 6 sympathy cards with limited layering or embellishments.  So, I drug out some old stamps and a die, and got busy!  Here's what I created (photos are not the best today - you may need to click and enlarge):

This first card uses one of may forever favorite stamps from Penny Black. It's called 'At Grace'.  The sentiment on both the inside and outside were from the Stampin' Up set 'Woven Heirlooms'.
I'm going to enter this card in the Saturday Challenge at Penny Black. The challenge is 'Inspired by a Song', and these flowers make me think of 'Blue Velvet'!!!

 Here's what was put inside.

This set was stamped with Stampin' Up's 'Soft Spring'.
And here is the inside. The sentiment is created by Julee Tillman, and you can find it at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

This is an old wooden stamp that I use a lot for masculine cards. 'Rowboat by Impression Obsession'.
The inside sentiment is from a set that I found on the sale rack at Hobby Lobby several years ago.

Another fun stamp set by Stampin' Up, 'Tranquil Tulips'. The sentiments on the card front and inside are both from the Hobby Lobby set.

This card uses a die from Taylored Expressions, 'Shade Tree', and a sentiment from the 'Wishing You Well' set from Stampin' Up. The envelope is stamped with Woven Heirlooms (Stampin' Up).

Inside sentiment is 'May the Peace' by Rubbernecker.

Last, but not least, is a beautiful digital image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I computer generated sentiment and frame while I was working on sizing image.

Inside sentiment is from the MSE set from Hobby Lobby. I'm entering this card in the monthly challenge at the Sweet 'n Sassy VIP group on Facebook.

Well, that's it!!!  Now I have an order for ten of the toilet paper cards that I shared a week or two ago, so I'm off to draw patterns on cardstock!

Hope you like at least one or two of these, and hope the lady I made them for likes them!

Thanks for stopping by, hope your weekend was great.

Hugs,
Patti J.

You're the Best Thing...

Happy Sunday!

It's my day to post on the Die-Versions blog, and I have a sweet card to share.

I don't know if you are aware, but Die-Versions is now carrying stamp sets with coordinating dies! How incredibly awesome is that?  Today's card features one of those sets.  The stamps and dies are from the Die-Versions collection, 'Love In The Air' DV-9016 .

The stamp set contains TWENTY stamps, and the die set has 16 coordinating dies!  You can see how nicely the dies cut on this card.

I hope this little couple gave you a smile today - they were so much fun to color!  Thanks for stopping by - be sure to check out the website, for these and other fabulous  Die-Version dies, and while you are out and about, check out the DV blog!  There is daily inspiration to be found there - hope you'll sign up to follow us!

                                                               Have a wonderful day,

                                                                           Patti J.

Greetings from the 'Bag Lady'

Greetings!
I am the lucky hostess this week for the Repeat Impressions Designer Choice Challenge.
My challenge to the Rockstars, (and you, should you decide to accept it),
is to create a bag and/or tag project.

Here is my project:

Tag and bag, complete with crooked ribbon (this was fixed, but not until after the photos were taken.  Oops!  I used the Repeat Impressions 'Peaceful Observation' #2001, and 'Meowy Christmas' #2211. Colored with Copics markers. Ribbon and Twine on tag are from Flourishe's, and the ribbon strip on the bag is from Hobby Lobby.

Tag

Back view, showing magnets.  I just cut up a magnetic business card for my magnets.

I made my tag to adhere on the bag with magnets.  After the gift is opened, the tag can hang on the fridge door, or file cabinet for a few days.

Head over to the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built, to check out the inspiration of my fellow Rockstars!  I know they have some fabulous projects to share!

Then, grab your stamps and link up YOUR creation to Mr. Linky - we'd love to see what your take on this challenge looks like!

Have a good week,
Patti J.

Rose....

Hello, and...
Happy Friday!!!

It's the 15th of the month - that means it's Digi Release Day at Clear Dollar Stamps!!!
I have a couple of cards to show you today that feature the June Flower of the Month set, "Rose". I thought that this beautiful flower would look pretty in pink, so that's what I decided to use. It will be fun to work this up in different colors to see how the look changes with color variations. The sentiment I used in both cards is from the Patriotic Charlie set - isn't it a beautiful font? The first card is standard A2 size, while the second card is a 5 3/4 square.

All coloring is with Copic Markers. Cardstock is Bazzill Basics, trim and ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. Pink Pearls are ZVA Creations, white pearls are Hobby Lobby, and oval Spellbinders were used. The background DP is from Graphics 45 Once Upon a Springtime Collection.

To see all of the new digi stamps, hop on over to the Clearly i Stamp blog, or to the Clear Dollar Stamps Website. Be sure to also visit the other DT members - I'm sure that they will have some beautiful creations posted on their blogs!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend - stay cool :) The forecast here is upper nineties through Sunday, then in the triple digits next week. Add 'heat index' to that, and it's going to be scorcher days! U2 concert Sunday night here, hope you have some fun planned for the weekend!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Food for thought:

"It's been a rough day. I got up this morning...put on a shirt and the button fell off. I picked up my briefcase and the handle came off. I'm afraid to go to the bathroom."
~Rodney Dangerfield

Every have one of those days??? lol...
