Thinking of You Today

Good morning!
It's Friday, and my day to post for the Scraptownlady Blog.
I've had some blogging friends ask me to consider doing some clean and simple projects using Scraptownlady supplies, and decided to do so for today's post!
Hope you like them.

6 x 6 Greeting Card, created from Melissa Frances papers and stickers, and ZVA Creative Embellishments

KaiserCraft papers, some solid cardstock, and a sentiment.  Voila!  The matching envelope makes this a fun, masculine greeting.

Isn't it amazing how much magic a sheet of pretty paper can create?  And that fabulous Kreate-a-Lope is a must have for making matching envelopes!

Have a wonderful weekend, and don't forget to hop over to the ScrapStownlady store - Cheryl adds new items nearly every day!  If you like what you see at the blog, be sure to sign up to follow.
We love new friends :)

Thanks for stopping by today,
Hugs and smiles...

Add COLOR!

Hello, and Happy Friday!
I am really enjoying my month with Doodle Pantry - it's so much fun to work with Laurie's wonderful products again, and I've missed my 'teamies'!  Today, I'm shaing a card created with a sentiment and DP from one of her new releases Easter Egg Ants.

This is another of Doodle Pantry's PRE-COLORED sets!  Talk about a quick and easy card...just print, assemble and embellish as desired, and mail! The background paper, sentiment, AND adorable swirlies above and below the sentiment, are all part of this set.  It also comes with a fun image, with Laurie's ants, having some Easter fun!

I added black mats, a pearl/rhinestone embellishment from ZVA Creative,
and a bow tied from a scrap of ribbon. Used my Perfect Layers Rulers for the nice even matting (see sidebar for details!) Voila!

Check out Laurie's fun new releases!

Thanks oodles for stopping by today,
Patti J.

Rose....

Hello, and...
Happy Friday!!!

It's the 15th of the month - that means it's Digi Release Day at Clear Dollar Stamps!!!
I have a couple of cards to show you today that feature the June Flower of the Month set, "Rose". I thought that this beautiful flower would look pretty in pink, so that's what I decided to use. It will be fun to work this up in different colors to see how the look changes with color variations. The sentiment I used in both cards is from the Patriotic Charlie set - isn't it a beautiful font? The first card is standard A2 size, while the second card is a 5 3/4 square.

All coloring is with Copic Markers. Cardstock is Bazzill Basics, trim and ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. Pink Pearls are ZVA Creations, white pearls are Hobby Lobby, and oval Spellbinders were used. The background DP is from Graphics 45 Once Upon a Springtime Collection.

To see all of the new digi stamps, hop on over to the Clearly i Stamp blog, or to the Clear Dollar Stamps Website. Be sure to also visit the other DT members - I'm sure that they will have some beautiful creations posted on their blogs!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend - stay cool :) The forecast here is upper nineties through Sunday, then in the triple digits next week. Add 'heat index' to that, and it's going to be scorcher days! U2 concert Sunday night here, hope you have some fun planned for the weekend!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Is it the weekend yet???

So, I know it's not the weekend yet. :( I just can't help being a bit anxious! I am in high hopes that my new hero, the computer tech, will bring my desktop back to me all fixed and working good as new, or maybe a new computer with my old 'brain' in it.... either way, I am so ready to have my own machine back! Thank you so much, Melissa, if you are reading, for loaning me your retired laptop - I would have been in the looney bin without e-mail!

The cards posted above were entered into contests at Stamp TV this week. I used the GKD Spring Florals set, and colored with pencils and LOMS. The challenge for the first card required the use of glitter. I remembered a card that my BSFF Shirley helped me make in a workshop several years ago, and cased the idea. I simply added a strip of red line tape to the bottom of the card, sprinkled blue glitter, and voila! The flowers and stems were also touched with a gelly roll starburst pen for some sparkle above. The card opens like a regular card in addition to the little flap opening.

The second card was a sketch challenge. I used the GKD Hope set, colored with pencils and LOMS, cut out the butterfly, sprayed with Glimmer Mist, and adhered with a 3-d dot. The pearl flourish is from ZVA, and was in my blog candy box from Chris Olsen that I posted last week (thank you Chris - I love these flourishes!!!).

On the home front....I am about halfway finished with the upper cabinets in the kitchen. I spent the morning removing the center panels in 2 of 4 doors that are in a pass through cabinet. I am planning to put some sort of glass center in, replacing the wood. Again, I didn't take before pics - what a knucklehead I can be sometimes! Anyway, as I don't have a lot of places to 'spread out' into, it's slow going, but it is going, and is looking nicer!

DH has follow up visit with doc tomorrow, am looking forward to hearing what the good doc has to say.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I leave you with a little food for thought (I know Lisa is waiting for more of these!!!)...

Have you ever noticed that after Monday (M) and Tuesday (T), the rest of the week is WTF???

Lol.... I knew you'd smile!

Blessings and hugs - Patti J.
