Hi there!
Whew...it's been busy here again.
It's 'that' time of year. This old woman has dug out all of last years papers, receipts, etc., and is getting them ready to go to our accountant for tax purposes. From what I've been reading so far, we need to be very afraid! LOADS of things that in the past have been deductions, apparently are no longer. Sigh. We shall see, right?
Anway, I thought I'd share a fun card today. There is a challenge for February on the Whimsy Stamps Facebook page that encourages us to use non-Valentine images to create a Valentine card. So...I decided that Goldfish Gertie and Goldfish Gunther would be fun to work with. These are digi images, so I printed them on a piece of cardstock, colored the images, drew and colored a heart behind them, and applied some sweet 'bubbles' that I purchased from Ink Road Stamps. You see that they look pink - that's because I was NOT thinking when I colored with Copic markers, and then applied the bubbles with Glossy Accents! The Glossy Accents reacted with the red copic color and voila! Very unique bubbles, for sure!
Here's the card:
Hope you like it!
Thanks for looking!
Hugs,
Patti J.

So, so cute and so wonderfully done! Love the bubbles - nice technique! :)
This is a perfect Valentine, and I love that the bubbles are slightly different in color. It makes them easier to see. Your little fish are wonderful. All in all, a perfect card!
Goldfish Gertie & Gunther look soo great!
This is SUCH an adorable card my friend! Love the way you've colored in these fishes and the heart brings them together along with those "bubbles" above!! Such a clever and fun design Patti!! So glad you shared it over in the WS group!! HUGS :)
Saw, and fell in love, with this on Facebook. Those fish are so dang cute and coloured to perfection. What a beautiful card, Patti!
What a fun and beautiful Valentine card! Love the cute fish too.
I worked as an accountant and tax preparer for 30 years and do not miss the hours wer
put in from January to April 15th. And the thing I don't miss at all is the changes in the tax law every year that had to be learned. I am hearing the same thing. People are getting hit hard with the new standard deduction and elimination of being able to deduct your property taxes and mortgage interest. Ugh.........
Hugs
Sue
