Dedicated to Melissa...

DD took a fairly longish hike the other day (before AND after camping out in a tent on the ground!) on the Ozark Trail here in Missouri.

She apparently had a close encounter of too many kinds with arachnids! You can read about it and see icky pictures here.

I am always telling DD that she is SO brave, and she always argues that she's not at all brave. Well, DD, I can PROMISE you that when I happened onto the very first spider, I would have been so totally OUTA THERE!!! You, my dear, are SO brave!!!

Anyway...when I realized I hadn't yet done the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge for this week, I knew exactly what I had to do! Melissa, this card is for you!!!

Sketch:

Card:

Supplies: DCWV Matstack, K & Co. Matstack, Versafine Black, Spiders from Sandylion.
Sheesh, now I'm creeped out all over again!
Pleasant dreams everyone! I'm off to work on announcement inserts! Very nearly finished!!!

Patty, I am with you on the spider thing, but the ones on your card are adorable. Now those I can deal with. Your card is so fun and creative. What a delight to behold and so sweet to honor your DD. What a wonderful Mom you are. Thanks for playing the Midnight Madness Challenge. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!!

I have a huge fear of spiders too!!! Actually ANY bugs!! I have even made Halloween cards with spiders on them that have given me chills while I was making them. It's terrible!! However, your card is wonderful. Even those spiders are pretty cute. Great job, and nice dedication ;)

Thank you so much for playing with us at the MMSC this week. It is such a pleasure to have you, and we hope that you will continue to play with us in the coming weeks.

If you love blog candy, pop over to my blog and check out some really fun stuff that I have up for grabs right now.

Such a cute card! The colors are great! I don't like spiders either, but the men in my life are even worse than me. In fact, I am the official "Spider Remover" in our family. Hope your daughter makes a speedy recovery from her ordeal! She has a cute blog!

Well I am so happy to read all these comments and to know I am not the only one with arachnophobia....I have it big time....can't even look at photos of the 8 legged creatures...any other bugs don't bother me though!
I do love your card and the little black things on there add a little cute dimension...those I can handle coz they won't start walking!! Or will they?
Great job with the sketch. Look forward to seeing more of your creations.
Thanks so much for playing along with us.

Love the cute little spiders - makes me want to "find" my tonic spider punch and start on Halloween stuff. I don't mid spiders except when i walk on the trails in the early am and run into those wispy webs they have made across the trails.

Your spiders are much cuter than the real things! Ha!

Spiders don't bother me near as much as rodents and reptiles. Now, those will send me scurrying in the other direction as fast as I can!!!
