We have had the pleasure of spending a week with our 7 year old grandson, Nate.

After being active and on the road for several days, we chose to stay home and play in Grammy's craft room today.

Things Beginning with B

Happy 1st Wednesday in SEPTEMBER! ??!

How did that happen so fast?

It's time for another Repeat Impressions Stamps challenge at The House that Stamps Built, and we have a new Designer’s Choice Challenge for you. Our hostess for the month is Heather, and she has challenged us to use 'Things beginning with B' on our creations! Please join us in our challenge, and create something using the theme: "Things beginning with B". 

Here's what I made using theses Repeat Impressions Stamps:

9001 L Butterfly Lg.

9009 F Butterfly Sm.

8611 E Thinking

I heat embossed the images with gold embossing powder, and colored in the butterfly wings, prior to sponging on some pretty blue ink. Added a few drops of Glossy Accents, and Ta-da!

I'm going to enter this card in the Double D challenge! Here is the inspirational photo they shared for their 'Feature' challenge, and of course, the butterfly quilt caught my eye:

I had a bit of time to play this week, and thought I'd work on a challenge card.

The challenge at the Impression Obsession Blog is Yellow and Blue. I made this card, using the Impression Obsession Stamps, Faith Wings and Swallowtail.

Elegant Butterflies

Good morning, happy Saturday, and 

Happy Halloween!

I'm here to share a lovely card that I made, using these

Great Impressions stamps:

C428-Birthday

J119-Elegant Butterflies

I've sponged a gentle faded background, used an Amuse die to 'split' the background panel, and stamped the butterflies. The butterflies were stamped again on a scrap,

colored, and fussy cut. The top butterfly is adhered flat to the card base. The other two are glued only in the center, and pulled up on each side to resemble butterflies in

flight.

Repeat Impressions Color Challenge

Hello! Are you ready for a new color challenge at The House that Stamps Built?

We have a fun color combination today.

This is another one that I had to really think about - all I could see was Halloween with these colors.

SO....a big step out of my comfort zone!

Here's the colors we are challenging you to use:

And, here is the card that I made, using Repeat Impressions 9009-F Butterfly (sm), and Repeat Impressions 8606-E Happy Birthday.

The butterflies were repeatedly stamped in green and purple, on cream card stock, and

voila!  A card front was born. The sentiment was added with some foam dots, and it's ready to mail.

If you notice the terrible trimming around my sentiment, you will understand why I use my

Perfect Layers rulers to do my matting! (see my sidebar!)
