Every Seashell has a Story

Hello friends!

I'm back with another pretty card today, featuring Beachcombers Borders and Seashell Sentiments, Set of 4, from the June release at Technique Junkies.

To create this card, I stamped the seashell borders onto a piece of cardstock, trimmed it off, and colored the images. 

Once the coloring was done, I stenciled around the image & on the card base, with the Currents stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. 

The focal panel was matted onto black cardstock, and a couple of thin Washi Tape strips balanced out the image. 

Last, I stamped the image again, but colored only one shell, cut it out, and popped it up on a foam dot.

Lovely Lizards

Hi friends!

I have some fun cards to share with you today, using a new set of stamps from the Technique Junkies April 2024 release. These cards were all created using the 'Lovely Lizards' stamp set. There are two adorable lizards in this set!

For the first card, the lizard was stamped, then stamped again on a post it note. I fussy cut the lizard out of the post-it, and used it over top of the stamped lizard, creating a mask. Once the mask was in place, I used some different colors of ink, and blended the 'Crocodile' stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. The Hello sentiment came from an older, cherished set, 'Five Fab Phrases'. I peeled off the mask, and voila! The panel was adhered to a light brown card base, and is ready to mail!

For this card, I used a burnt orange colored cardstock.

I trimmed up the focal panel to the size I wanted, and cut it into 3 panels.

For the top panel, I stamped one of the Lizards, as well as the top portion of another new release stamp, 'Meadow Sprigs'.

The sentiment in the middle section, 'Simply Enjoy' is also a new stamp from the April release.

On the two outside edges of the center panel, I scored a few lines 1/8" apart, to add a bit of dimension to the panel. I then placed the bottom panel against the middle panel, and again, stamped the 'Meadow Sprigs' on the left side, and the 2nd lizard on the right side.

Last, I took a white card base, stamped both lizards, colored them with Copic markers, and used the 'Grunge Dots' stencil from A Colorful Life Designs over top of panel. The sentiment is from and older set that I use a lot, 'Celebrate Diversity'. I needed to have an Anniversary card on hand for a couple that has little Dragons, and thought that the lizards would be fun. I cut the frame and heart from some patterned paper, popped up the card, and it's ready to mail!

Mother's Day

Hi there!

Mother's Day is just around the corner, so I thought I would recycle a post from last year!!

I have 2 pretty cards to share today, featuring an older Technique Junkies stamp set #SS071 'You are the World', Set of 3. Seemed perfect timing to share these creations again!

This was so easy to create. The image was stamped in the center of the focal panel, and a flower was stamped on either side. A Colorful Life Designs Stencil 'Damask', was ink blended around the edges with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink. The flowers were colored with Copics, and glossy accents was scribbled onto the flowers. The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base.

A Very Small Word

Hi there!

I'm up today on the Technique Junkies blog, and am sharing two fun cards, with some stamps from the January release.

Our fur babies are so precious to us! I love this beautiful sentiment 'Dog' - truer words were never spoken. When I'm having a bad day, our little Sophie seems to know that I need a special cuddle. My best friend just lost her special fur-child, a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback, and this month's release came just when I needed to make her a special card.

Here's what I made:

For this card, I used a new release background stamp 'Falling Confetti Hearts', which was stamped with pink ink. The 'Dog' sentiment was layered over a pretty, ornate die cut.

For this card, I used a stencil and some blue Diamond Izink for the background. A small panel was covered with the Izink as well, to use as a mat for the sentiment. Have I mentioned how much you 'need' some of the Izinks????

Santa Paws

 Hello!

I have a fun Christmas card to share today!  

For this card, I used a fun new release, #SD1116 Santa Paws. The image was stamped and colored with Copic Markers. The hat, nose and eyes were then covered in Glossy Accents for some shine. I then reached for the A Colorful Life Designs 'PAWS' stencil, and used gray and red inks to create a background around the pooch.
