Hay Ride Kiddos

It's Friday!  Woo hoo!

I've got a fun new stamp to share with you today.  Having 'put up' hay for many years, I can certainly see our DD getting all grumpy at our DS, because he's throwing hay from the wagon in her hair :)  So, when I saw this great image at Scrapping Center, I knew that I had to have it!  Boy kiddo doesn't know it yet, but girl kiddo is just about to take that smug look off of his face...lol....

Found this scrap of very, very old DP from The Paper Studio, and thought it would be perfect as a background for the hay wagon.  All coloring is with Copics.  It's dark and dreary here today, and I couldn't get a decent photo....bah.  I truly AM going to get my light box finished!

Used my trusty Perfect Layers Tools for the nice even matting.  Button is from my stash.  Image is #CRR150 Hay Ride Kiddos, by Stampendous.  I ordered mine from Scrapping Center.  They have OODLES of fun things that are calling my name!

I'm entering this in the Outlawz Friday Copic/Promarker Challenge - it's to use fall colors or foliage, and color with alcohol markers.

Have a great weekend - Be sure to check in on Sunday - Creations by AR has a special release, and all I can tell you is that my version is YUMMY!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Love...

Happy Tuesday!

I have a card tonight for Suzanne's Thoughtful Thursday challenge at "Other Lovlies". The challenge was to make a Valentine. Here is my card...

If you have not played in Suzanne's challenge, you should run over and do so! She has a great prize, and when I looked last, there were only two entrants! You can use any stamps, digi or rubber, and any DP - no need to buy anything extra - you can use what you have on hand!

I'm also going to enter this card in the Creative Belli Challenge #82, which is to use glitter or rhinestones (got lots of them going on!). It's hard to tell but the flourish is glittered with a glitter pen, and the lower section is all rhinestones.

The last challenge I'm entering this card in is a color challenge at Papertake Weekly. The challenge is: Pretty Pink Papertake. We are to use predominantly pink on our cards.

I have one more quick card to show. The challenge at 365 Cards today (day 325) is: Imagine This: Chocolate. No explanation needed! I'm also entering this one at Creative Card Crew, where the challenge is: 'Punch it'!

Well, I hope that you like these! I am trying to find a bit more time in my girl-cave. Hopefully, I'll have some fun things to show tomorrow!

Take care!

Ouch...

So, after a LONG time, I went back to Curve's yesterday afternoon. Ouch. And to show what a low level of intelligence I possess, I am probably going back this morning. Groan....moan......

Michelle, this one's for you!
**********
This week is "Buttons" at A Little Whimsy, and yesterday was "Tuesday Triplets" day at 365 Cards. Whatever we did, was to be done in triplicate, except the sentiment. So, here are three panels of DCWV DP, topped off with PaperTrey Ink's cute little hot air balloons (BUTTONS!!!) (THREE!!!). Funny how things work out. I made this one in a hurry, and thought it would be one of my least faves ever, and it turned out pretty darned cute, I think! I kind of like it!

Recipe: DCWV Winter Mat Stack (last year's), Versafine Black Ink, Stampin' Up Bashful Blue Ink, PaperTrey Ink "Everyday Button Bits", buttons from my stash.

Next is a fall card that I made for the Stampin' Sister's in Christ Challenge (to use fall colors), and for the My Time to Craft Challenge (Autumn), and last but not least, for the 365 Cards challenge for Monday, which was to make a card that was inspired by the following colors.

It's hard to tell, but all of the colors are here! If not in the DP or CS, then I have colored them in...

Recipe: TAC "I'm nuts about you", Provo DP, Ribbon from Hobby Lobby, DCWV CS, Kooh-I-Noor Colored Pencils, Versafine Brown Ink.

Yesterday, as I posted the candy on my sidebar, I was reminded just how short life can be, how everything can change in a split second, and that I don't tell you all enough just how thankful I am to have met so many wonderful friends through this love of paper that we share. Thanks to all of you for your thoughtful and caring comments, and for sharing your talents with me!

Have a great day!

BOO!

I'll bet that you are surprised to see me! I am finally out of hiding. It was a very hectic week and weekend, so today, I went to stamp club (thanks JoAnn for a great project!), got home about 4:00, and have been in my girl cave since!

I'm not sure that I'll ever be able to catch up the challenges that I'm behind on, but you can bet that I'm working hard to try to get them done!

First I have a card for the ABC Challenge. The letter is "C", and we are to make a card with circles. I chose to go with a Halloween card. I stamped my "BOO" letters on black circles with white ink, and then covered them with a clear acrylic circle.

Supplies: DP: Best Creation, Inc., TAC Playful Bet Letters, Jewelry Braiding Cord

*****

For Barb's Macabre Monday Challenge, I offer the following card...

This week's challenge is to use a ghastly little poem or rhyme in your creepy creation. I tried to zoom in to my poem from Macbeth, but I think I only succeeded in crossing everyone's eyes!!!

Supplies: D CS is by Pink Paislee, Sentiment computer generated

*****

For day 188 at 365 Cards, the challenge was "Touchy Feely Friday". We were to add flock, felt, etc., to our cards to make them 'touchy feely'!!! My lil' gal has a fluffy black flock boa! The card is also based on glitter stock, so that's also a 'feely' paper! I covered the white foam flower with glossy accents, so it looks pretty cute IRL.

Supplies: Black Fun Flock, TAC Tickled Pink Image, Tombow Markers, Gelly Roll Glitter Pen, Dazzles flower by Petaloo, Glitter CS by Best Creations, White foam flower from Michael's, Glossy Accents

*****

Day 187 at 365 Cards had a theme of: "Label It". I dug into my old, old, stash, and found a label! The challenge at Pile it On, was Happy Birthday plus one other challenge.

Supplies: Label from stash, DCWV Old World Mat Stack CS, Hero Arts Sentiment, Sara Beise Cupcake.

*****

"Feeling Blue" was the theme for day 185 at 365 Cards. We were to include three shades of blue - done! All supplies were scraps and miscellaneous from my stash or Shirley's! Sentiment is Inkadinkado, and was stamped with Stampin' Up Whisper White.

Hope that you all have a great night. Get some rest!

Thanks for stopping by to look!

Gotta love vintage...

Gotta love it...Vintage, that is! I remember those days! Lol. Just kidding! Not quite that old yet!!!

When today's challenge at 365 Cards came in with a "Going Vintage" theme, I remembered this great Graphic 45 paper I had. It was left over from a vintage cigar box class I took at For Keeps Sake a while back.

The second card is for Stamptacular Sunday's challenge, which was to create a card that was three dimensional. This card uses the Papertrey Ink's Everyday Button Bits set. Both the piece with the stamping and the buttons are adhered with dimensional dots.

DD and I are going to meet up sor supper in a bit, so I'm off to the shower for now. Hope that your Thursday has been full of blessings!

It's a Super Sketchy Sunday...

Literally! It's Sunday over at 365 Cards, so that means it is sketch day! We were to use the following sketch for our cards:

I have this amazing pad of Basic Grey June Bug papers (thanks Lisa!) that I can't seem to keep my hands off of! It is going to be gone before I know it! (sad face here) However, I love all things BG, so I couldn't resist using it, along with a wonderful Unity stamp, and this fun sketch!

I followed this sketch exactly, which is not my norm (as you know I usually flip or rotate), and even included the cute little triangular pieces at the top! I punched a circle from the DP, and popped it up for a 3-D effect. Ink is Colorbox Olive Green Chalk Ink, and distressing was done with Palette "Haystack". The darling little yellow flat pearls are Kaiser's.

The colors don't photograph as well as I'd like, but overall, this is one that when finished, I was quite pleased with. It will make someone a nice card!

Well, peeps, I must go get ready for a trip to the airport to pick up DH. He's flying in from LA today, we drive to Branson, Mo. AND back tomorrow (4.5 hours each direction) to check on a jobsite, and then he flies out to Phoenix on Tuesday a.m. for some safety meetings. He's had a wonderful visit with DS, and they have been to several Cardinal's (sorry Caryl) games together. It will be good to see him!

I hope your Sunday is blessing filled, and will probably be MIA until Tuesday night! Take care all!!!

Just Because...

Gosh, how do you folks routinely do multiple challenges with one card? Yikes! I'm still tired from my Skater Ian!!! lol!

I was too tired and too busy to post yesterday, so I have lots for you today! The first is a little card I'll call Just Because... this is for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, which was to use a bear on our cards! How much fun are bears??? No problem!

Stamp: TAC, Flowers: Martha Stewart Flower Punch, DP: Basic Grey June Bug, Kooh-I-Noor Pencils, CS: DCWV

Next up, "Dream", is a card that I made for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 15. We had a sketch to follow. Below is the sketch, followed by my card! The main image was a $1 stamp from the bin at Joanne's this week when I took DH to the airport!

Stamps: Stamp Dimensions Crafts & Inkadinkado Inchies, Tim Holtz's Black Soot Distress Ink, Just a touch of Sakura's Starburst Pen on the stars, and that most fabulous soft and fuzzy trim, I found at For Keep's Sake this week!

This bright and cheerful card is one that I made for two challenges (hooray for two-fers!). Corrosive Challenges had a sketch this week, so I started by following it. 365 Cards had this incredibly difficult challenge (sorry Pam!), Mixed Message, of using 3 different ways to express your message. Folks, with 110 birth announcements in various states of creation, this one nearly put me in that white jacket that buckles in the back. Really....!

My recipe for this card is: DCWV CS & DP, Big pink tag from my stash, the Happy Birthday is a cloth tag, the #2 is an old (REALLY old) acrylic sticker, and the "YOU" is a rub-on. I sure hope this will qualify, as there are no do-overs! Stick a fork in it, because it's done!!! hee hee...

So Grateful is a set that Gina K. Designs sells, that is designed by Rupa Shevde. What a gorgeous set it is! This is another two-fer! The new challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ, had a theme of "FOOD", plain and simple!!! With Thanksgiving approaching, when I think of food, I think of plenty, and from there, this set came out... I followed Monday's Mojo Monday sketch for this card.

Stamps: Gina K. Designs, Kooh-I-Noor Pencils, Crystal Laquer, DCWV Indian Summer Fall Matstack.

The last card I have to post is for 365 Cards Challenge for today, which is simply (OMG Thank You Pam!!!!) to use peach on your card. I jumped up and down and whooped and hollered when I read today's directions!!! The dog thought I was ready for the white coat with the buckles...

I used the Mojo Maria sketch (Tuesday's) for the layout. As usual, I was the rebel that turned the sketch up on its end!!! lol...can't help myself.

Stamp: Shine Anya (from the Greeting Farm set of Rain, Snow, or Shine Anya), Kooh-I-Noor Pencils, Tombow Markers, and the DP is by Provo, found at Big Lots!!!

I quit! Back to birth announcements! I hope that you all have a blessed day, and if I have good luck, I will be back to do some blurfing later today! Caryl P., have you been watchin' those Cardinal's play ball???? muhahahaha......

Happy Birthday Dear Friend!!!

Don't you just love a new challenge? Hannah told of an ABC challenge starting up for the third time, and it just happened to be at 'A' this week! So... I'm going to give it a try and see if I can keep up!

The challenge site is here, and the theme for this week is: A = Anything Goes (with the thought of keeping animals in mind)...

I had this adorable little retired/revived TAC stamp that has never been inked. I thought with holidays fast approaching, this would be a good one to bring out and ink up! I am so pleased with how much fun it was to color!

Supplies: Stamps are TAC, Stampin' Up, and Katie & Co., Versafine Black Ink, Kooh-I-Noor Pencils, Watercolor Paper, Provo CS, DCWV CS.

Friday's challenge at 365 Cards, was to make your card look like a "gift"! Well, as I was on my way out the door for a trip to Michael's and Hobby Lobby, actually MAKING a card took a back seat to shopping for more fun stuff to make cards with! Lol... So this one is "falling off a log easy"! DP and some ribbon and a touch of glitter! Period. 5 Minutes tops! Not totally happy with it, but my priorities were definitely gathering wool in a shopping cart in another city an hour from my work table!!!

Whew....sure wish I'd known today's theme prior to shopping yesterday! Oh well, perhaps there is a scrap of toille DP in my bin!

Supplies: DP (unknown), Ribbon (unknown), Inkadinkado, Color Box Chalk Ink, Burgandy.

______________________________

I'm back! Rather than make an additional post, I'm posting today's 365 Cards challenge, which is to use toille on our cards! I did have a piece in my bin, so with a bit of ribbon, adhesive, and a Hero Arts sentiment, this card is finished! I thought I'd combine the Mojo Monday sketch with it, as I hadn't managed to make anything yet for it! So....here's a last minute two-fer! Cheers!!!

I wish you all a good day! I'm going to go immediately to Wal-Mart, and hopefully avoid at least some of the trauma involved in going there on a Saturday morning on the first week of school! Tee Hee!

Hope you all have a great weekend! Think positive, happy thoughts! If you get time, please drop by Shirley's blog and wish her a happy birthday! I'm sure she will shoot me when she finds out that I divulged this top secret info, but she is 19 today! Looks pretty darned good for her age, too!!!

Back to School....this post is for Lisa!

Well, it's back to school today in Farmington! Seems very strange to be sitting HERE while school buses are driving by! I am used to being AT school on the first day with kids in and out of my office all day! Sort of a sad day for me....

With 'back to school' in mind, I decided to play the Midnight Madness sketch challenge this week!

My BBB (best blogging bud), Lisa, sent me a care package last week. It contained some new stamps and some Basic Grey papers. Teacher Anya was one of the new stamps. Isn't she the most darling thing you've ever seen? Of course, the DP that I used on the background and on Anya's vest are Basic Grey! Thanks Lisa, in measures of oodles!!! You are so sweet!

Supplies: Basic Grey June Bug Paper Pack, Crystal Laquer, Great Impressions Sentiment, Versafine Black Ink, DCWV CS, Kooh-I-Noor Woodless Pencils and Low-Odor Mineral Spirits, Tombow Markers.

This next card is for 365 Cards challenge for today. Today we were to use a Card Recipe! The recipe was:
4 x 7 card
glitter
5 blossoms
wet embossed sentiment
and
three different DP's!

It's been a while since I have wet embossed, so it was fun to drag out the old heat gun!
_____
I am also going to post this at Flutter By Wednesday's challenge! Pay special attention to the teensy little butterfly up on the Hello sentiment. Shirley's granddaughter, Megan, came to visit her for a week. I got to meet her last week, and she was a total sweetie! She was creating with Shrinky Dink and Punches, and offered to make me some very fun embellishments! When I left that day, I had a butterfly (shown above!) some flowers, and some birds! I think she did a beautiful job, and it was so much fun to get to meet her! So, Megan, if you are reading this, THANK YOU, and many hugs for your kindness!!!

Supplies: Basic Grey June Bug Paper Pack, Versamark Dazzle Frost Ink, Judikins Egyptian Gold Embossing Powder, Glitter, Silk Flowers, Marvy Punches, Cuttlebug Paisley Folder, Core'dinations Black/Gold Cardstock, Shrinky Dink Butterfly.
_____
That's all I have for today! It's been a busy day - I've been working on announcements, and finally got the new bedding on our bed! Hope that you have all had a wonderful day! Have a great evening, and think happy thoughts!!!
