Treat Box Tutorial

Hello friends!

I'm back with a friendly reminder that you still have a couple of weeks to participate in the challenge this month at the Scor-Pal blog... you could be our monthly winner!

This month, the challenge is 'The Heat of Summer'. As always, you must include more than one score, and follow along with our fun theme. Be sure to check out the blog to see what our talented Design Team members have shared!

My project this month was very simple. Most of you know that I've had a wicked 'bug' since the end of June. I'm beginning to feel human again, but now we are in the middle of a MOVE!  Moving is not for sissies, and move is definitely a four letter word...lol.  We've been in our beautiful home on our beautiful hillside for over 32 years. We've accumulated a lot of stuff...

Anyway!  Here's what I created for the challenge:

And here is how I did it!

You need two pieces of cardstock.

Outside Cover = 3.25” x 11”
Score with long side at top of your score board at 5.75” and 6.25”
Decorate front as desired.

Inside ‘Box’ = 3.25” x 5”
Score on all four sides at 1”
On two long sides, cut on score lines, cutting in only to the fold line.
Angle cut your box ‘tabs’ for a smoother fit.
Assemble box, adhere to bottom of cover, and fill with goodies!
Punch hole(s) in top as desired for closure.
(My punches are all packed, so I grabbed a ribbon scrap and stapled this sample closed)

For this project, I used my Scor-Pal Eighths, & 1/2" Scor-Tape.

Thanks for looking!

I hope to see your summer creations in our Heat of Summer Scor-Pal challenge!

We also have a ton of inspiration on our Projects on the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to help you get creative!Challenge at Scor-Pal!

Happy June!

This is such a great little treat container--so simple, but really cute! Thanks for sharing this idea. It would be perfect at each place setting for holiday dinners. It could be made for Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.

Fab gift boxes Patti, great tutorial too!
Hope you're on the mend. You will find it hard to leave your home with all it's memories, but you've lots more new memories to make in your new one xx

Oh, sweet Patti, I am so sorry that you were sick and so thankful that you God provided wonderful care and healing. What a difficult time with your move, but I'm sure it is a good move and that it is a good opportunity to sort through things and downsize a bit. I know I have been trying to do that myself. Praying that God gives you more and more strength and energy as you heal completely and for strength to finish the move. But you surely have made a darling treat box, and I may have to try one of these. I love making some special little items for some friends. It's a wonderful tutorial! Thank you, and may God bless you both! Hugs and love! xoxo

So glad you are starting to feel better. We have been in our home for 48 years. Can't even imagine moving...........I recently completely removed everything from the livingroom and redid it with all new furniture, rugs and everything on the walls. Exhausting, and having
to choose new stuff was brutal..........but I love it now. Your cute little box of goodies is so cute, great Halloween idea for my little friends in our family. Thanks for sharing the how to. Hope your move goes well and your are feeling tip top very soon.

Hugs
Sue
