White Space Scares Me...

Finally nabbed a few minutes in the old craft room!!! I have a very quick and simple card tonight.

The challenge this week at Simplicity, is "overlapping".
We are to overlap the sentiment and image.
Susan doesn't care where on the page we put it, but we need to overlap.
OMG... do you realize how much WHITE SPACE that leaves on an A2 card? Why am I so stinkin' scared of white space? lol....

Anyway, above, is my card for the challenge. The sentiment is Stampabilities,
the roses are Inkadinkado.

I used pink and green Colorbox Chalk inks for the coloring, and actually colored them using a waterbrush. Fun and fast!
I am also going to enter this at Creative Card Crew. The challenge there is Pink & Green - I think this might fit!

I hope that you and your family are having a wonderful weekend.
We are planning to visit the graveyards tomorrow, bearing flags, flowers, and prayers.
I will probably see you on Monday!

Thanks for stopping by - Hugs to all!

Ooh Pattie you just reminded me I was going to make a card for Susan's little challenge this week!!!!
I love yours even if you think there's too much white space!!!!! It's very elegant.

Very nice - I am loving CAS more and more. I am thinking maybe something like that would be good for my thank you cards. Great job.

Patti, FACE YOUR FEAR. Keep making pretty cards like this one, and you'll no longer fear white space. You will embrace it, long for it, love it with a passion that yearns for simplicity and easy grace. Trust me on this one. You got it!

Soooo pretty! Those roses are fabulous!
I find cards with loads of white space are awfully difficult to make, but you definately rocked this challenge Patti!

If I had to choose my favorite of all those cards on Simplicity today, it would probably be yours because it looks perfectly complete and not like you put your sentiment in the wrong place accidentally. You made the white space an integral part of the whole....well, sorry I'm not putting into words how your card makes me feel.......maybe "perfect" is all I need to say.

Thanks for that entry!

Girl I feel your pain. That white space makes me shiver in my boots!! I tried it once over on the Clean and Simple Challenge blog and it was painful. But you did it beautifully!
