Father's Day

Father's Day is just around the corner - can you believe we are nearly halfway to Christmas and taxes again???!!! Yikes! Time sure flies as one gets older...

I made this card last year for a swap, and just put it away in a box. (This was long before I even knew that this world of blogging and sharing was out there!)

I thought it turned out pretty cute! The base is DCWV CS, topped with a sheet of glossy paper which I used Tim Holt's alcohol inks on! The papers are scraps, and the sentiment is TAC's Trendy Greeting set. The rest is pretty self explanatory! A trip to the hardware store for sme 'junk' and cork, and voila!

Hope you enjoy it! Again, the photo is terrible. The way the light hits it, it looks wrinkled and it is not! I promise, I am going to find an outside spot for picture taking, really I am!!!

I am going to post it over at 3 Clovers Designs, where the challenge this week, is not only to create a Father's Day card, but to be sure it has metal, etc., on it - I'm pretty sure this qualifies!
Well, I have 24 Baby Shower favors to make, which means wrapping about 288 candy nuggets! Off I go to cut and paste - lol!!!

Have a great night - see you later!

Hi there Patti! First, let me say, I love your words of inspiration. They always make me smile!

Cool card... perfect for my dad, who is Mr. Fix-It all the way. My own hubby is only marginally handy. This was a big shock to me when we got married and I found out he can't fix everything like Dad can! But I kept him anyway. (*wink*)

I hope you have a great weekend, dear friend.

Hugs,
Lisa

Wonderful card Patti and I love all your 'hardware' - I got so engrossed in making my card (I hate making cards for men) that I forgot about the hardware! Duh!
