Proud momma....

Sorry dear followers - there will be no card tonight! It's off to bed with us all. Today was a long day, and we are all tired.

We are so grateful and blessed tonight, that our dear daughter is home with us safe and sound.

She was traveling to work this a.m. in her Ford Taurus, when a 17 year old man in a '90 something or other Ford F150 decided to turn left into her. She was doing about 55 mph on Highway 8 toward Potosi when he hit her. What would have been a head-on, or full t-bone type of accident was avoided as...

She had time to react, and to swerve a bit, and she ended up in a ditch, and was not hurt. We are so thankful for that. The young man was driving into the sun, and just did not see her, and he felt terrible about hitting her. His front end apparently made contact with her driver's side from the front fender all the way down the side of the car to behind the back door. It could have been very bad...

The first car behind her could not believe that she didn't roll the car end over end, and applauded Melissa's defensive driving, as did the other couple of drivers that saw the accident, and the tow truck driver. All commended her reaction, and stated how badly things could have turned out had she not been so quick to respond.

The car has almost $4k in damages, but is fixable, and Melissa is okay as well.

Anyway, all is well, but it's been a long day - no time for blog hopping or card making tonight!

Take care all - see you tomorrow! Good night...

~The really odd thing about the morning is that my entire drive to work this morning had me singing "Jesus take the wheel".... I thought all the way to work that it was due to American Idol this week, but now, I must wonder....
