Gnome for Christmas

 Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I'd like to share some fun cards I created with wonderful October Release stamps!

These cards feature two awesome new stamp sets, 'Gnome for Christmas', and 'Christmas Tree Sextuplet'.

This first card front was created using Ink Blending Brushes, and some pretty ink colors, blended over the entire panel.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark Black ink. The Gnomes and Trees were then stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copic Markers, and fussy cut. The trees were adhered directly to the card front, while the Gnomes were popped up with dimensional foam.  Aren't they cute?

Next, I made a set of three cards, using one of the sentiments, and one of the Gnomes on each card. I also had SO much fun with the new stencil 'A Colorful Life - Cloud Edger'.

These cards were all so much fun to create! Technique Junkies stamps make such awesome cards!

This October release is amazing! Can't wait to share more!

Tic Tac Toe at The House that Stamps Built

 Hi everyone - Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for Repeat Impressions.
Here is the inspiration board that Wendy gave us to work with:

My choice was Black Cats, Gate Fold Card, and Embossing.

Today, I used these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Here's my creation:

and here is a view with the gatefold opened up. The left side of the sentiment strip was adhered with two small pop dots, while the right was adhered with two small velcro dots. Prior to mailing, I will add a white panel to the inside for my message. One of the 'grands' will probably get this one!

This was pretty easy (once my brain cells kicked into gear)! I actually had to call my bestie, Shirley, for a gentle reminder on measurements for the gatefold!

Now it’s your turn! Create something using the Tic-Tac-Toe board above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Check out my sidebar to see how you can save money on your RI orders!
Lots of things are on sale at Repeat Impressions, so hurry on over and take a peek!!!

Now, it's time to see what my fellow Rock Stars have created!

Blue Knight Rubber Stamps - Cute Koala

 Hello, friends!

I'm excited to be guest designing for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps for the month of October!

I got to work with this company last year and I very much enjoyed creating with their beautiful, high quality stamps. I was eager to get started with the fun stamps that Lynn Anderson sent me this month.

For this post, I used this Blue Knight Rubber Stamps set:

I was asked to use each stamp set in two different ways. My first card is stamped and colored right out of the package, with no embellishing. Isn't is a sweet image? All coloring is done with Copic Markers, and the highlights are done with a white gel pen. After the image was stamped and colored, I gently blended on the sky, and blended a second time with the same blue Distress Oxide Ink, but used an oval stencil to sort of 'frame' the cute little critter.

This second card uses the same stamp set, but with some changes, to make the two cards look different.  I used a cloud stencil to give the sky an evening look, changed up the color of the Koala, and used no white gel pen on any of the image.

Hope this inspires you to check out the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Blog (link below) for more inspiration from the design team!

Blue Knight Rubber Stamps - Gone Fishin'

  Hello, my crafty friends!

So... this first card is stamped and colored right out of the package, with no embellishing. Isn't is a beautiful image? I've never seen one that actually includes the reflection of the boat. Pretty awesome, right?

I thought this would be pretty in slimline style, so that I could showcase the stamped image with some creative ink blending.  I used Distress Oxide Inks (in my next life, I will definitely own some Pan Pastels!)

This second card uses the same stamp set, but with some changes, to make the two cards look different.

For the above card, I stamped the image and sentiment on a white panel. Next, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks, and used cloud and current stencils to create the water and sky.
Last, I found a place that looked like I could make cuts without ruining the image, and cut the panel into four pieces. The pieces were mounted onto a dark blue mat, and then onto a white card base. I like the window look this achieved!

Hope you like it, and are inspired to check out the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Blog (link below) for more inspiration from the design team!

Technique Junkies October New Release Blog Hop

Hello!!!

We have some awesome new stamps in the Technique Junkies line, and we are so eager to share them with you today!

The October 2020 New Release stamps are 15% off through October 8th! We all definitely love a bargain! No codes needed, just put these stamps in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout.

Today, I wanted to share some cards I made using stamps from the October 2020 Technique Junkies release.

For this card, I'm featuring the new sentiment set, 'Inside Out: 12 Cookies'. This is a set of 10 stamps, and I had a lot of fun designing with them!  Along with 'Inside Out: 12 Cookies', I pulled out an older stamp 'Sassy Sue', 'Ink Blending Brushes', and a fun stencil 'A Colorful Life Grunge Dots' (no longer available). Used some Glossy Accents on her glasses and lips, and a bit of glitter on her headband.

Lol...there are days I feel like this little guy! For this card I used 'Bah Humbug' 'Inside Out: 12 Cookies', 'Ink Blending Brushes', and 'A Colorful Life Stencil-Falling Stars' (no longer available). A gold glitter pen was used to outline and color some of the stars. Some glitter paste was added to the fur on his hat.

Next up, I used 'Inside Out: 12 Cookies', 'Christmas Dog', 'Ink Blending Brushes', and 'A Colorful Life Stencil Ho Ho Ho'. A bit of red Zig-Zag Washi Tape finished this off nicely.

So...isn't she adorable?  I used the 'Inside Out: 12 Cookies', and two older stamps, 'Stencil Rings', and 'Mrs. Santa's List'.  The rings were colored with Copic markers, and the entire panel was sort of washed over with a Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen. The hat was gussied up with some Sparkly Fluff from my stash of antique crafty items.

Next, I brought back the 'Inside Out 12 Cookies', and 'Sassy Sue', along with 'Ink Blending Brushes, and 'A Colorful Life Stencil - Faded Petals'. I outlined the stencil petals with a pink marker, added a bit of skinny Washi Tape, and some Glossy Accents to her eyeglasses, lips, and headband. Voila!

Last, but not least, here is a pretty card using 'Wise Men'.  A gorgeous stamp, a fun layout, some glittery Washi Tape, and a card was created!

I hope these cards brings you some 'happy', and inspire you to use your stamps in different ways. Now, let's Hop!!!

Be sure to check out the blog hop list below for some great inspiration from our Design Team!

You can also use my discount code on any purchase from Technique Junkies, anytime. You can even use it along with the discount above!!!
