All About Summer...

Hello, friends...
I am so excited to share with you, that I was invited to be the guest designer for the
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge for the month of July!
What an honor to get to work with these very talented ladies - this has been a delightful secret to keep!

Today's Timeless Tuesday Challenge hostess is the amazing Makiko, who has chosen "All About Summer" as her theme for this week.  Makiko has challenged us to make a card or project with a summer theme.

"On the Porch" was immediately my choice for this challenge.

It's one of my favorite Flourishes sets, and certainly make me think of summer.

A CAS easel card seemed the perfect fit for this wonderful image!
The image and sentiment were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Dye Ink, on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock.  The image was colored with Copic Markers: Y08, Y11, YG61, YG63, G21, C00, C1.

Prima's beautiful "Songbird Collection" 6 x 6 Paper Pack, and black cardstock scraps were used to mat panels. A bit of Gelly Roll Stardust Pen was used to give the ice cubes some sparkle, some gloss was used to give the image a shiny, realistic look, and some Want 2 Scrap Bling was added as a perfect finishing touch.  The image was stamped a second time, and the lemons were colored and fussy cut, to use as a brace for the front panel.  The lemons and the focal panel were given some dimension with foam squares.

Take a look at what the fabulous Timeless Tuesday Designers have created for you today!

I hope we see your card posted in this week's Timeless Tuesday Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Nap Time Fairy

Nap Time Fairy is today's Reapeat Impressions' Stamp of the Week.  I thought she was adorable!...and again, a CAS card won out!

Repeat Impressions' Nap Time Fairy (4303-M), Amuse Venetian Pattern 'lido' cardstock, Copic Markers, Dimensional Squares, Flourishes White CS, Stampin' Up! Square Lattice Embossing Folder, *Perfect Layers Tools, Spellbinders, Labels 18

I did not include a sentiment.  I wasn't sure who might be the recipient of the card, or what the occasion might be.

This sweet image can be purchased for 50% off this week at Repeat Impressions, exclusively to their blog readers, at The House That Stamps Built.  While you are at the blog, be sure to check out the challenges that you can still enter.  You need not use RI stamps, but we'd love to see them, and if you DO use them, you will get two chances to win wonderful stamps!

It has been EONS since I've entered a challenge - am entering this card in the CAS 2000 Member Party Challenge at The Outlawz!  You should go check out all of the fun they have this week!

Have a great day, and a wonderful week!

Thank you so very much...

Hi ya, and Happy Friday!  Woot woot - it's a weekend!

I have another of the Doodle Pantry new release digi images to share today!  This one is called Vintage Place Setting.  I think it is so pretty!  There are a few different sentiments, and of course, this beautiful image.  I considered distressing it, but thought how pretty it would be to make it look like beautiful china.

Coloring is with Copic Markers.  Used a dot of Sakura Starburst Glitter Pen here and there for sparkle.

The DP is some that I found while shopping one day.  It's called Ella Blue, by g.c.d. studio's.  It is a linen textured paper, and I thought it was perfect for this image.  Mixing up the patterns, and cutting the 'chair rail' type stripe of DP makes it have the feel of a formal dining room, don't you think?

All righty, this is another quick post!  I have some family commitments, so if I don't get by to visit your blogs this weekend, I'll do so next week!

Thanks for dropping by - have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Young Love.....

Today, I have another card for One Crazy Stamper Challenge Blog.
They have two guest designers each month, so sadly, this is my last card for them.
It's been fun using their stamps, and playing along!
Again, if you haven't been over to One Crazy Stamper to shop, you should check them out!

The theme that I was asked to use was "Love".
I chose this adorable image by Penny Johnson, called "Love Bubbles".
It was SO incredibly fun to color - I love it!

All coloring was done with Copic markers. Flowers-Hobby Lobby, Heart Punch-Martha Stewart, Nesties, Dotted DP-The Angel Company, Sakura Starburst Clear Glitter Pen
Hope you like it -
I have to smile everytime I catch a glimpse of these cuties
sharing their ginger ale!
Have a wonderful Friday, and be sure to stop over at the One Crazy Stamper Challenge blog to see what the other fabulous designers have created for you today!
Hugs,
Patti J.

I'm a bit late with my mask....

Lol...Just kidding! No, it's not a Halloween mask...

I am the 'leader' at Stamp Club today. I am going to fearlessly lead where no leader has lead before! (Well, it's true, all but the fearlessly part - I HATE being up in front of other people!)

Actually, I was asked to do some beginner masking for our meeting today. There will be possibly 10 ladies at Stamp Club today, and of these, only my DF Shirley has masked before. So, we will do these basic projects, and it it goes well, the next time it's my turn, we'll turn it up a notch and do some collage type masking projects.

I'm certainly not a pro at this stuff, but I've been doing it long enough now that it is really hard for me to tune my mind into words like 'basic', 'easy', 'clean and simple', 'quick', etc....

Anyway, thanks for looking, and I really hope you will drop me a comment letting me know what you think - it's still early enough to do something different!!!

Enough jabber - here are my prototypes...
For this first card, I used an ornament image by Inkadinkado, a sentiment by Great Impressions, and this fabulous script by The Angel Company.
I wanted it to look a bit vintage, and be super fast and easy, so only Colorbox Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink was used. The only embellies are the three mini brads at the bottom of the card.

This next card uses a TAC sentiment, and a Great Impressions Tree Image. At club today, we will also have the option of the Stampin'Up multiple tree stamp. Members can choose whether they want a tall card or a wide card. The Stampin' Up Bashful Blue Ink was stippled on for the sky, and the tree was then stamped multiple times using Adirondack Denim Blue. I dotted the trees with my Uniball Signo white pen, and also with the Sakura Starburst Glitter Pen.

Since the card is dark blue, I figured we'd need something on the inside for writing to show up on, so we will put a piece of white on the inside, and will punch a snowflake (EK Success) out before adhering. The glitter pen will also accent this snowflake (I don't think it shows up on the photo)

So, I've been seeing a TON of pink this year - it appears that pink is the new red!!! So...I thought I would spunk things up a little with some color!!!
So.......last, for this card, I simply 'punched' out a circle from a piece of CS using a circle nestie. Using that circle, again, I stippled the Marvy Magenta Ink into the center using a circular motion, and keeping it a little heavier to the outside edge. I stamped the snowflakes by PSX, and the sentiment by Paper Salon with the Magenta ink. The only embellies were a 2" piece of silver trim, and a bow.
The inside needed 'something', so I stamped the snowflakes once in the top left corner.
So, would love to hear what YOU are all doing today!
Hope to have some blog candy posted by tomorrow! Wahoo!!!
Only a few days and a few hits late, right??? Oh well, better late than never!
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Another rainy day in Missouri...

Yup, it's raining again! I am seriously pricing lumber for our 'big boat'... however, I refuse to take two rodents...(sorry Nina!). We apparently have another critter that is smarter than the traps are - lol.

My card today was made for Lynn's challenge at Stamp TV for this week: "Let it Snow".
I just got some Polar White Flower Soft on Tuesday at O'Dear's, (thanks Deb!!!) and hadn't opened it yet (except to share with a friend), and was anxious to give it a try.

I used Theresa Momber's new set, "Very Merry Christmas", and the stamping and sponging was done with SU's Bashful Blue and Wild Wasabi Green. I think the only other ingredient in this recipe was the Sakura Starburst Glitter Pen for the snow 'flakes'.

It is certainly not my favorite piece of work, but my morning's been pretty hectic, and I only had 15-20 minutes to spare.

Well, hope that you are all looking forward to the weekend!

Take care -

Patti J.

Another real church blooper: This being Easter Sunday, we will ask Mrs. Jackson to come forward and lay an egg on the alter.

Magic...

Above is my card for this week's challenge at There's Magic in the Air. This is another cute sketch by Nina. When I first saw the sketch, I said to myself, "Self, this is a tough one". I thought about every combination of colors, and no matter what I chose, it still seemed lovey-dovey to me, so pink won!
I printed the FREE digi image off (Nina puts a free image up for the challenge every single Monday) and colored it with my colored pencils and mineral spirits. Then I highlighted the pink areas with Sakura's pink glitter pen. I used a scalloped nestie circle, punched around the image, and sponged with pink chalk ink while it was still in the die. I also drew around the inner edge of each die with the glitter pen before popping the image out!
Hope you like it! Have a great Monday!
