Honor the Fallen

Wow, here we are nearly at the end of April!
I'm sharing two cards today, that I created with stamps from the April 2024 release at Technique Junkies.

First up is this beautiful Wildflower card. The stamps used, are 'Advice from a Wildflower', and 'Meadow Sprigs'.  The image and sentiment were stamped with a dark brown ink onto Kraft cardstock, bordered with black, and boom! Done!  Easy, and so quick!

Next up is a beautiful card, made with 'Patriotic Corners' and 'Honor the Fallen'.
The panels were created with some ink, and water spritzing, for an aged look. The stars and sentiment were stamped with dark blue, and the stripes with red. The panels were layered onto a dark blue card base.

Hope your day is going well! I'll be back in a couple of days with my last post for the April release! Remember that anything NOT a new release can be purchased at 10% off using my code: TJPatti10.

Thanks for dropping by!

Hugs,
Patti J.

The 4th Monday in May....

Good morning.

Tomorrow is the 4th Monday in May - Memorial Day in the U.S.

For many, many years, we have set aside this day to come together as fellow Americans, to honor all of those who have died at war, fighting for our country.

However, this weekend, sadly, seems to have become a 'long weekend' to drink lots of beer, eat lots of BBQ, and swim... with very few thoughts of the meaning of Memorial Day.

Please take a few moments this weekend to remember why it is that our government blesses us with this long weekend.  Tomorrow, DH and I will visit the cemetery, place flags at graves, and remember those that fought for our country, and our freedom.  We'll take time to pray for those, like our son-in-law and his fellow troops, that are still putting themselves in danger every single day for our country.

I hope that you and your family have had a wonderful weekend together.  We hope to fire up the grill ourselves tomorrow afternoon, as we enjoy the last of the weekend together.

I leave you with this thought:

"The greatest glory of a free-born people is to transmit that freedom to their children".  ~William Havard

Memorial Day blessings,

Patti J.
