March 10, 2023

 Hi all!

Today is a catch-up day. So many times, I lay things aside, and they don't get posted here. Sorry for the photo overload!

Here are some things I've created, and want to share:

These boxes were fromone of  Stampin Up's Paper Pumpkin kits. The kit made 16 boxes. I actually have several in a little shop downtown. The patterned papers and sentiments were all different. I put an easel card type of top on mine. This shot shows the box closed up.

Here is the opened box. As you can see, I could have used either the green or the coral color for the box, just depending on how I chose to fold it!  I put 2 Hershey chocolate miniature bars in each box, and laid the gift card on top for someone to either attach a real gift card to, or to write a note on.

This is a terrible photo - couldn't get it right the day I took it, but this is a swap that 9 of us took part in. Every couple of months, we do a new panel, and this was our Christmas panel. Sorry to make your eyes cross! My square was the little car with the tree on the roof.

Birthday card for our daughter...

Daughter and granddaughter play the Ukelele, so couldn't pass up a chance to create a fun card for them.

A friend, Lisa Stiehr, who sells Close to My Heart products, had us in one morning to make a card and small scrapbook page. Here's the card...

And here's the page!

Borrowed these stamps from Shirley, my bestie, to create these cute favors to stick into the grandkids Valentine's boxes.

That's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Hugs,
Patti J.

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Day 11

Hello!

I have a simple card to share today. I used an older Close to my Heart stamp for this one, and colored it with Copic Markers.  I'll be linking this up to the 30 Day Coloring Challenge, for day 11.

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Girl's Day In...

Hello!
The weekend is nearly here - wahoo! Hope you have some fun plans.  It's supposed to get bitter cold here again, so I don't know what we will attempt to do.  Sigh...mother nature is really mad at us!

So, between our trip to Germany, and all of the many snowy days that we've been cooped up, my friend Shirley and I decided that we would get together on Wednesday and create some things.

I'll just make this short!  Here's what we made:

Isn't this bunny box the cutest thing ever?  Amuse Studio has this fabulous box die.  Perfect for 2 Ghirardelli candies, a box of Tic Tacs, handful of loose candy, a few tubes of Chapstick, etc.  The papers are Amuse Studio, as well. This was fun AND yummy!  Thanks, Shirley!

This was a pattern that Angie at 'My Chic 'n Scratch' was showcasing one day last week.  We used the bunny stamp (sorry, can't remember whose it is!), the center box is Neat & Tangled Stamps and sequins, and the Cardinal is Close to My Heart.  They hold two candy nuggets perfectly!

We also played with the box card again.  Ha ha...if you look closely, you will see that my DP on the bottom front is glued on sideways!  Oops!  Anyway, this one is a hodge podge of dies, bling, punches, and patterned papers.

This stamp is one of the new releases at Stampin'Up! this spring.  Isn't it pretty?  The sentiment is actually a part of the stamp.  The fun paper is a new patterned paper from Amuse Studio.

Here's a side view....

Then we created the fun and cheerful Easter card.  Again, I'm not sure who the stamp vendor is - sorry! Thanks, Shirley for another fun project!

Here's the inside view...

This is another Stampin'Up! new release stamp.  SO pretty!  I love tulips, and keep hoping to see the real thing popping up soon!

That's all I have for today!  We had a really good day - drank hot tea, got lots of doggie kisses (and a bruise or two :)
and chatted for HOURS!  Long overdue, and I'm already looking forward to the next session.
Great therapy!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wrap Up the Holidays with Creations by AR - Day One

Happy December!

Welcome to Day One of  'Eight Days of  Wrap Up the Holidays with Creations by AR'!
We are showcasing the FOUR new releases for December, and they are wonderful!  Each designer has one day to showcase our favorite templates.  Some will create with all of the new templates, others with one or two.

I chose to work with the 'Triangle Compact', and the 'Our House Gift Tag'.
I hope you enjoy!  There will be one winner per day, so be sure to read the information below!

Triangle Compact

Now, seriously, this was SO easy, and SO much fun!  Those of you with cutting machines could whip one out in 5-10 minutes.  It took me about 15 min. each after printing the templates.
Cardstock: amuse studio, Holly Leaves: Close to My Heart, Warmest Wishes: amuse studio, Merry Christmas: Close to My Heart, Poinsettia: Dee's Distinctively

Our House Gift Tag

This was SO much fun!  Almost like decorating my house!  Please enlarge to see all of the fun dimensions!

Here's a shot from the side.  I wanted you to see what a fun, dimensional tag this is.

How can YOU win one of these two templates?
EASY!
Just leave a comment below, telling me which template you would like to win.
A winner will be randomly chosen, and that winner will be posted on my blog tomorrow!
If you are the lucky winner, just email Adela at: creationsbyar@sbcglobal.net
That's it!
Check back with my blog tomorrow to see if you are a winner!
Also, tomorrow, you will hop to Jak's blog, and repeat the process!

Be Still...

Hello!
Ewww....deary, rainy, and gloomy here today.
No better weather though - I locked myself in my girl cave this morning, and played with pretty papers, stamps, inks, etc....   Here is one card I made in 7 minutes!

This is a Close To My Heart Stamp.  My friend, Regina Hardy is a CTMH demonstrator, just in case you decide you want to do some shopping! I felt this would work nicely for church occasions.

Hope you are having a good week, so far!

I'm off to earn my keep now, lol...

Hugs & Blessings,
Patti J.

OH!  I almost forgot - am going to actually enter a challenge this week with this card!

Word Art Wednesday's challenge was Anything Goes - this fits!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Feature a Friend on Friday

Hello, friends, and Happy Friday!

Today, I am pleased to share something fun with you!  Elizabeth Mindemann has a fun program on her blog, 'Broken Treasures'.  She calls it "Feature a Friend {on Friday}", and invited me to be her featured friend today!  How exciting!  Elizabeth is a Close to My Heart Demonstrator, so I thought it would be fun to pull out my CTMH stamps, and fun colors of inks and cardstocks.

I'm using two CTMH sets, D1375 Treasures, and D1400 Celebrate the Everyday.  Sadly, I think they are both retired, but I've been looking through the new catalog, and OMG, there are some DARLING stamps! So many of their stamps could be used exactly as I've used this one!  All 6 were made in about 70 minutes yesterday after 8 p.m.!

ANYwho.....I used one of the flowers and stems from the Treasures set, and decided to use the same layout with different colors, edge punches, and embellishments to create a rainbow of cards for a gift.
Stamped the sentiment on this one repeatedly for a HOORAY effect!

These needed to be relatively flat for mailing, so the fru-fru is at a minimum!  It's hard to see, but this flower was stamped, and quickly stamped twice more without reinking, for a shadowed flower.

So simple, but fun and delightfully colorful!

And who out there can resist Kraft?  Not me!  Ad some black ink, ribbon, and BLING and it's a winner!

Lately, I have fallen head over heels in like with red, white, and turquoise (and black :)

Absolutely could not make SIX cards with no butterflies! Used my OLD Martha Punch for these.
The yellow ink on my flower was dabbed directly onto the stamp, followed by green. Voila - easy shading!

Sorry this was photo heavy, but sure hope you enjoyed it!

If you would like to be a Featured Friday guest of Elizabeths, pop over, and leave her a comment with a little bit of love!  Be sure to tell her how she can contact you to put you on her calendar!

You need not use CTMH stamps - I did, because I had them, and they needed to be used!

I've been down for about 3 weeks now, with a terrible tooth issue - feeling some better today, so hopefully, things are on the mend.  We are so looking forward to family beginning to arrive on Sunday!  We'll have a house full next week!

Hugs!
Patti J.

Joy...

Yippee!   It's Friday!  Weekend time :)

Today's card is totally CAS, and CASED!  lol.  I actually liked the look of this card, and pretty much cased it right out of the Close to my Heart catalog.

The patterned papers are from last year's Christmas DCWV Mat Stack.  I stamped on Kraft, with Tim Holtz Adirondack Lettuce Ink.  The faux stitching was done with a white gel pen.  All stamps are from Close to my Heart.  Easy peasy!

Thanks for stopping by - no time to bend your ears (lucky you!) today...have a meeting at the pet shelter, then a trip to Wal-Mart (ugh...) and hopefully a haircut!

Have a great day - see you soon.

Happy Haunting meets Wicked...

Good morning, and I wish you the happiest of Wednesday's!

I have a couple of Halloween cards for you today.

The first card is total CAS!  Susan R., (Susan, a.k.a. Late Blossom, has this incredible and amazing blog of ALL things CAS!!!)  if you are reading, you simply HAVE to be proud of me!

You all know how hard a CAS card is for me to do.....  WELL....  here's the story, morning glory...

I ordered this Skull Spider stamp from Mark at Deadbeat Designs.  If you've never checked out his stamps, you should.  They are very unique, and you won't find designs just like his anyplace else.  I also ordered another larger stamp that I can't talk about just yet, or 'someone' won't be surprised with her Christmas card.  When I received my order, the box was full of teensy little puffy paper stars (Mark's a Texan), AND a free stamp!  Mark had included the Mini Skeleton, as well, with a nice note to enjoy the free stamp.  Service with a smile, a free stamp, and VERY speedy shipping - what more can a stamper ask for?

I proceeded to grab up an old paper pack "Rockstar" from DCWV, found an eerie looking DP, mounted it on craft, distressed the edges a bit with some purple Tim Holtz ink, stamped the four skeletons and sentiment (an older TAC sentiment), and drew my line with a Tombow Marker.  DONE!  Not one single pearl, rhinestone (I was SO tempted), ribbon, or button!  Yay, me!  I did it!

I'm entering this card in the "Less is More" Challenge.  The gals are hoping to get 1000 entries for their 1000th challenge.  They are close to halfway there!

So, do you all remember the other day, when I said that I had worked for HOURS on a card that I gave up on because I hated it?  Well, here it is.....and I still hate it!  lol....Momma said there'd be days like this!

For this card, I used a Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month, called Wicked.  My bestest ever stamping friend, Shirley and I placed a combined order in August with a local CTMH lady, JUST to get and share this stamp.  We do things like that often... if one of us buys a paper pad, or fun ribbon, the other gets their fair share!!!  Anyway, I thought I'd sorta make a twist on an easel card.

Three little tidbits -

1.  You are almost out of time to sign up for blog candy!  Look at my sidebar, up at the top, and go to THAT post and leave a comment.  That's all you have to do!  Some lucky reader will win a $26 gift card to the on-line store of their choosing.  This will go up by $1 per new follower, so if you have friends that don't love me, tell them to drop by, leave a little love, and take a chance on winning!

2.  Last call - if you think that you might like to participate in a ribbon swap, please drop me an e-mail at: mamagilliam at gmail dot com

3. Wednesday's rock - I wait all week for them, because our blogging friend Curt, posts on Wednesday's! If you have never visited his blog, you must.  Too much fun, every Wednesday!
Lots of fun, and lots of talent, all in one place!

That's all for today - sorry I jabbered so much - both kids are traveling, DH is at work, my bestie stampin' friend has plans today, and even the dogs are asleep, so ha ha ha....you guys get my jibberish!

Have a wonderful day - hugs and smiles to you all!!!
