Wonderful blogging friends!

Hi there!
So, have ya'll ever seen the thing online that says something like "I love my computer, because my friends live there"??? Well,'s true!  I've been blogging now for over 12 years (missed my blogaversary in September!)  During this time, I've been fortunate enough to meet on-line friends in several different states, talk to many on the phone, and text with others. Not to mention my creative friends here locally!  Let me tell you about today's happy mail!

My friend Pam Sparks, is one of the most talented crafters you will ever find. And if that's not enough, she is SO kind.  (If you don't follow Pam, RUN right now and do so!) We've been friends for several years now, and I totally look forward to her blog posts, and occasional text sessions. I have no doubt that if we lived near each other, we would be crafting buddies! Just prior to Pam's posting THIS blog post, she had texted me a photo of her card, which was gorgeous.  Of course, I squealed out loud and told her how pretty it was. Today, when I went to the mailbox, I found a kit with everything needed to make this beautiful card! Needless to say, whatever else was hanging fire, would have to wait until I created! Thank you so much Pam!

Here is my card:

This is one that I sorta hate to mail - lol.... would like to frame it!

Next up, I have a Christmas card that I made over the weekend. I like the simplicity of the card, and it went together very quickly.

I'm going to enter this on in the Wednesday Sketch Challenge #463 at My Favorite Things.

Here is the sketch:

Hope that you are all doing well today. It's a little cold and dreary here, but I guess that's to be expected this time of year!  Looking forward to a fun day with my bestie Shirley, tomorrow. We are going to do a bit of shopping, and just spend a day together.

Take care, and keep smiling!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Patti - this story reminds of what happened many years ago. You had made an adorable teachers set with a note pad and place for pencils. I raved about it and said how cute something like that would look on my teachers desk. Well, you mailed it to me and I have never forgotten.

I'm laughing at my next thought, not sure I should type it! :O but I will... this was a make your own Christmas card kit... just kidding, just kidding! lol I love your pine and berries card too! oh, have fun tomorrow! I'm still here sorting cards! This will teach me to be better organized in the future! :(

Fantastic use of the sketch, Patti, and gorgeous cards. Sometimes I don't want to mail a card, either, but mostly so it jars my creative juices when next I need a card using those products LOL Glad I'm not the only one! hugs, de

So true, Patti! Crafty/bloggie friends are the BEST and Pam is definitely one of the BEST of the BEST!! How considerate of her to do that and, wow, you did a stunning job with your own card! I agree: frame it! And while you're at it, frame the second one, too, because it's equally gorgeous!! Hugs, Darnell

What a fabulous job you did on your kit. It is a very beautiful card indeed. Thanks for sending us the link to Pam. I'm now subscribed to her blog.

Your second card made my jaw drop open too. The crisp and clean look is so perfect. Love it my friend!!!

Who ever receives the Joy card will want to frame it. It is gorgeous. The second card looks like a wreath, simple yet elegant. Both are wonderful cards.

Well darn - I commented - BUT from my I-Pad and I guess it didn't go through - BUT - love the "friend" card - how sweet - anxious to try this technique. So many techniques never enough time. And the simplicity of the second card is very pretty - CAS.

You know, my friend, every so often you're allowed to just keep something you really like - frame it, show it off, display it, whatever you like. You can always make something else for the intended recipient. I wouldn't blame you a bit for keeping that marvelously framed mistletoe! lol I love what you did with that sketch and the 'ornament' wreath. Hugs.
