Special Birthday Challenge at Scor-Pal

Hi everyone!

Yikes! It's November! It was a rainy, nasty Halloween here. We were expecting about 400-600 trick or treaters, and probably had 100. They got lots of candy from us, as we didn't want it left over!

It's time for a new monthly challenge on the Scor-Pal blog - 'Special Birthday'. Creations need to include more than one score line, and a 'Special Birthday' theme.

Here is my project for this month. I'm not sure who will get this, but I hope they like it!

Did you know that Scor-Pal has lots of fun things in their store? Yep! They have dies,
glitter markers, Pocket Pal pages, Aqua markers, watercolor paper....you just have to go look and see.

Here is a card I made using this die set:

The top piece is the cutest little envelope, but I didn't use it for this.
I used the little note card (the bottom) piece, and used it as the card part of my joy fold card.

Then I decided I needed a matching gift, so here's what I made:

And here is a photo of the set together:

So, what do you think?

Thanks for all of you who are emailing to inquire about my health. I had my follow-up doctor appointment on October 15th. I still have pneumonia (my hospitalization was June 24th!), but...I am better! So overall, it's good news. I'm just a very impatient patient - I want to be 100% right now!

For these project, I used my Scor-Pal Eighths, 1/2" Scor-Tape, & 1/4" Scor-Tape.

Thanks for looking!

I hope to see your birthday creations in our 'Special Birthday' Scor-Pal challenge!

We also have a ton of inspiration on our Projects on the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to help you get creative!Challenge at Scor-Pal!

Happy November, everyone!

Wow Patty! So sorry you're still having to deal with health problems and I'm sure anyone would have a hard time with that for this period of time you've had it! Sending big get well hugs and hope for healing!

My goodness, that darn pneumonia just won't give in and leave!! Stay strong, my friend. I've been taking lots of vitamin C, hoping to give my immune system a bit of a boost. Your card and gift are just lovely. The pretty box for the candle is such a good idea. I have to remember that idea for the holidays.

Oh my heavens, you still have pneumonia? That is awful news and weird too. I will pray for a speedy recovery my friend. Remember me telling you my 30 year old son had sepsis with his pneumonia and how it attacked his heart? Good news for him. He just had a stress test and he can now stop his heart medications.

This is the cutest box ever. I love how it's tall in the back. The designer paper is so pretty too. You are a genious when it comes time for making boxes.

Meant to say, we had about 40 trick or treater's which I thought was pretty good, I can't imagine over 400! Shame your weather was so rubbish, hope you haven't too much candy left!

So sorry you're still fighting pneumonia, but you will win this battle and I'm glad that you're on the way there.
Your card and gift set is fabulous. Love the fancy fold of your card. The colours you used are lovely.
Have a blessed Sunday.
