A Warm Hello to you all! Today, I'm happy to be posting for Die-Versions. My cards today are featuring dies from the April release. Both were fun to create, and I hope they give you a smile or two!
This card was my very first attempt using modeling creme.
Supplies: Die-Versions Whispers DVW-348 'Pebbles Background' Die, Tiddly Inks Image, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Perfect Papercrafting tools (see sidebar for details), Copic Markers. |
To begin, I die cut the fabulous Pebbles Background to use as a stencil. Seriously, love this die!
A piece of cardstock was cut to the same size.
The next step was to place the 'stencil' over the cardstock.
Then I quickly spread the modeling creme over the top of the stencil.
I immediately removed the 'stencil', and scraped the excess back into the jar.
Of course, since I am a hoarder, I saved the 'stencil' for another project!
The modeling creme takes only a short while to dry. Once dry, I just sponged
some pretty ink colors on, and used the beautiful pebble background to create this happy card!
For this card, I used the Die-Versions Whispers DVW-351 "Teardrop Punch Border".
The white panel was cut to card front size, and I die cut the border on each side. This would
have been fun to just leave the white space in the center, but I couldn't resist using a fun digi image,
and doing an 'outside the box' type of center panel. Don't you just LOVE these drops?
Here's a giggle for you - after the card was entirely finished, I realized that the teardrops were
upside down! Go ahead and laugh - I'm sure you've had days like that!
Supplies: Die-Versions Whispers DVW-351 'Teardrop Punch Border', Bugaboo Image, Copic Markers, Perfect Papercrafting Rulers (see sidebar for details) |
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope that you are all well, and enjoying your week.
Hugs and Blessings,
Patti J.

Patti, you did a wonderful job with the molding paste. Both cards are beautifully done. hate to say it, I to have done things upside down at one time or any other. just busy thinking ahead. I had a chuckle when I read it. .....have a good day.

Fab cards Patti!! I would love to try the modeling crème technique, it's amazing. As for card number two, well I'm still laughing at your sentiment, I think I need one of those coffees, lol, fantastic. xx
Love both cards and love your tutorial on the texture paste - looks like fun. SOME day we will have to get together and play.
Love the texture on the first card and that you created your own stencil. Had to chuckle with you on the last card with the tear drops. I do like the sentiment on the last card as well. TFS and Happy Easter!
Love both of your cards, Pattie!! The pebbles background looks awesome with the modeling paste...thanks for the tutorial!!! Love the second card, too, with that adorable image and all the sequins!!!
Great job on your 1st modeling paste. It's fun, and yours turned out a lot better than my first try. And you even cut your stencil, which is really neat too. You did wonderful, and this turned into a very pretty card. Love the way you sponged over the paste to create the happy colors. No laughing here, except to smile at the delightful card! Well done & I hope you do more. I'm looking for some good tips so I can get better too! Happy Easter & TFS
