Designer Choice Challenge at The House that Stamps Built

Hi there, crafty friends!

It's time for another Repeat Impressions Stamps Designer's Choice challenge at The House that Stamps Built. Shirley is the hostess this month, and she has challenged the team to use the theme 'In the Dark' (night time sky, dark colors, anything related to dark).  

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

A pretty piece of paper from Hobby Lobby was the starting point for this card. I colored and fussy cut the image, stamped and fussy cut the sentiment, and ta-da! A beautiful card was born!

Technique Junkies Stamps - August New Release Blog Hop!

Hello!

We have some awesome new stamps in the Technique Junkies line, and we are eager to share them with you today!



Hooray! We have New Stamps in the Technique Junkies line!

Today, I wanted to share three cards I made using stamps from the August 2020 Technique Junkies release. I'm stamping with 'Mad Mod Lace', Love, Faith and Peace', and Celebrate Diversity.

For this card, 'Mad Mod Lace' was stamped with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed with white powder. I used 'Ink Blending Brushes', and lots of distress oxide inks, giving this a nice, soft feel. The sentiment is from the 'Love, Faith and Peace' set. I stamped this in orange ink, fussy cut the word 'faith', and mounted everything on a piece of orange cardstock.



The next card was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and then was colored using Copic Markers. I used a white gel pen to highlight some of the colored areas for a bit of whimsy. The sentiment was stamped with dark blue ink, and color blended on the sentiment strip with the 'Ink Blending Brushes'.




The last card was stamped with Memento Teal Zeal Ink, matted with black cardstock, and adhered to a white base. The sentiment was stamped on an inked panel with Versamark Ink, and embossed with white powder. The layers were all adhered, and voila! What a fun, pretty card!!!

Christmas in July at Technique Junkies...

Hello everyone!

Whew....I am sliding in at the last minute with some holiday cards that I've created for the 'Christmas in July' challenge on the Technique Junkies' FaceBook page.

I won't jabber today - I'll just share!  Here goes...

Merry Christmas Wishes & Stardust Heat Transfer Foil

I could NOT get a good photo of this. Tried about 20 different ways. Anyway, in real life, this is real purty!!!  I painted the Transfer Gel on with a paintbrush, and let it totally dry, prior to running it through my laminator. Then, the strips at the bottom were Scor-Tape, that I laid the foil over.

Foil fail....the image was just too much darkness, which is what the foil grabs to. Again, I painted the gel on, and let it dry, prior to running the piece through the laminator. In real life it is very pretty, but SO hard to get a good photo!!!

Painted the transfer gel on, and let dry prior to covering with foil sheet and laminating. Colored image with Copics.

Tropical Palm Fronds

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share three cards using some of the wonderful July release products!

This first card uses an awesome new background stamp, 'Tropical Palm Fronds'. I stamped the sentiment 'A Good Friend' on the focal panel, then cut an oval mask to go over it. I then stamped the background, added a whisp of cheesecloth and a unique die cut. Mounted the panel on green cardstock...done!

I love making cards that are so very easy, but the recipients think they took a long time. Technique Junkies background stamps make such an awesome statement!  For this card, the Tropical Palm Fronds was stamped onto a pale yellow panel. The sentiment 'The First to Apologize' was also stamped on pale yellow, matted, and embellished with a bit of tatting twine.

This card was stamped onto a pale green. I used 'Tropical Palm Fronds' and a sentiment from 'Wreath Wishes'. This is an older set, but a go-to for me! I send a lot of Thinking of You cards to church members, and love the size and font of this sentiment.

This July release has been amazing! Wait until you see the August release!

Anything Goes at The House that Stamps Built

Sit on the Porch

Hello out there!

It's Fri-yay once again...thanks for stopping by!

I have a very easy, fun Technique Junkies card to share with you today using a wonderful July release stamp, 'Sit on the Porch'.

This first card was SO fast, and SO easy to make! I made this a 5 x 7 card, to better showcase the fun stamp.  I began with a white panel. I used 'A Colorful Life 'Faded Petals' stencil, and blended some pale blue ink onto the white panel.  I centered the 'Sit on the Porch' stamp on the white panel, and stamped it with a darker blue ink. I then cut 'Sit on the Porch' out of the panel with a die cut, mounted it onto a scrap of black, and adhered it right back onto the white panel. To finish, the panel was matted in black, and adhered to a white card base.
