Life is Not...

Good morning!

I'm back with a new challenge for Repeat Impressions

Our challenge this week is a color challenge - look at the pretty colors Wendy

gave us to work with:

And, here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

6623L Lotus Border

6113K Life is Not...

Now it’s your turn! Create a card using the colors above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Check out my sidebar to see how you can save money on your RI orders!

Now, it's time to see what my fellow Rock Stars have created!

Happy Hopping!

Hope you link up a card this week!

Christmas in July Workshop

On Thursday, I had fun with friends!  Did a little workshop at our new Hobby Lobby,

and this is what we made.  Everyone seemed to have a good time, and

seemed pleased with their cards.  I've heard rumors that some spouses

enjoyed a bit of chocolate, but you know how rumors are...

Saw this layout on Pinterest and had to case it :)

Saw this one on Pinterest and had to case it :)

Since this was a 'Christmas in July' workshop, I also baked Christmas cookies,

white chocolate covered pretzels, and had Ghirardelli goodies and mints at every seat.

I did have the courtesy and forethought to take all calories out first!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs and blessings,

Patti J.

Congratulations!

It's Friday - woohoo!

Should be a pretty easy weekend here - hope yours is relaxing!

I have a very simple card to share today, using products from Crafter's Companion.

I love these beautiful Sara Davies products!

The sentiment was stamped where I thought I wanted it, and after that, it was just a

matter of adhering different width of paper strips, adding a flower and some pearls!

I spritzed the back of the flower and leaves with a bit of water, in order to form them

a bit.  I'm pretty happy with this one! Hope you like it :)

Here are the products that I used:

Signature Collection by Sara Davies 'Hello Beautiful' EZ Mount Rubber Stamp Set

Signature Collection by Sara Davies 'Floral Delight' 6" x 6" Paper Pad

Signature Collection by Sara Davies Decorative Metal Dies 'Floral Delight' 'In Bloom'

Downton Abbey Papercrafting Collection 'Pearls - White and Cream'

Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock

Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by today!

Sunday School Treats

Hi there!

We have a Sunday School class at church that consists of the sweetest ladies ever.

Once in a while, they come into class to find a wee surprise on their table.

They are so appreciative, and it's fun doing something nice for them.

Stan and I were married in this church 43+ years ago, and most of these ladies were members

of the church way back then, and we love and respect them so much!

Here's what they found on their table on Sunday:

Hope you're having a good week so far.

It's a WONDERFUL week here!  Our daughter and family, who have been 3+ years in Germany,

have touched down in the US!  Their next assignment is in the DC area, so we can drive or fly

out to see them anytime we like (and are invited!!!).  Anyway, you can imagine the

goofy happy dancing going on here!

Take care, and keep smiling,

Patti J.

Vintage Vacation with TLC Blog Hop

Hello, and welcome to the Vintage Vacation with TLC Blog Hop!

It's summertime, and what fun it is to take a vacation with our family or friends!

The TLC owner, Paulette, has given us all some fun vintage digi images to create with today.

Here's what I created:

This first photo shows 5" x 7" card, ready to slide into envelope.

Here's another view, of the easel card opened, and ready to display...

One more view - a close up of the uber-fun image!

This fun image reminds me of my childhood. We all crawled into the car, totally filled it with suitcases, food, and family, and drove willy-nilly to someplace new, sometimes exciting, sometimes

not so much!  We had very few vacations, so it was always a treat to get away.

Paulette is SO generous!  I've added this image below, and it's free as a way of
saying thanks for hopping with us!

Each stop along the hop will be using and giving away a different image!
Be sure to leave some nice comments for the team - they've worked hard to bring you a fun hop,
full of free images!

SO....

Now it's time to hop...  hopefully, you arrived here from Jen's blog.

Your next stop on the hop is Shelly's blog - she's got a great project to share with you!

The entire hop order is listed below.  If you get lost along the way, you can

go to the Create with TLC blog, and see what you've missed.
