Hello Friends!
I must admit - the Verve stamps that I received this week are wonderful. They smell nice (really!), they stamp nicely, and I love that they are clear. The only thing bad about them is that I don't have the time to 'play' like I want to, and they certainly make me want to do so!
I stole just a few minutes away this a.m. and used some two sided DP to get something very quickly made up. I used the Abundant Blessings Set, and one of the Plain Janes (I can do all things...). The ink is TAC India Red and Pallette Noir. The two sided designer paper is by BIO (By Invitation Only) and is another great paper that I picked up at O'Dear's. I only had about 10 minutes to spare, so did no coloring or distressing : -( and you all know that I LOVE to distress!
Hope you like it - I'll have more time next week to explore this set further!
Happy Sunday - God Bless!

Hooray!
I received my very first Verve stamp order today! I have to take poor Flake to the vet for her shots, but plan to play for a little while when I get home tonight! Don't you just love getting new toys in the mail???

Bee Happy...
You know, maybe I'm just a silly old woman, but I believe that you can only be as happy as you let yourself be! It doesn't take as much to make me happy as it used to! Give me a new tin and some cute papers and I can be happy for hours!
The tin below is from Oriental Trading Co.

The amazingly bright and cute papers are from TAC (The Angel Company).

The "Bee Happy" stamp, and the "Bee" stamp, and the little square are all from TAC as well. (Imagine ME using TAC products...)

The "With Love" stamp is from Hero Arts - I love their mini stamps!

I took some scraps and made a set of gift cards that match the tin. I think this makes a cute gift, and am going to make up oodles of sets for a craft sale in November. What do you think - will they sell???
Well, it's back to the grind for me! It's already been a long day. Manley Stanley got a phone call at 3:50 this a.m. calling him BACK to Branson for a water main leak, so it's going to be a very long day for him. Please keep him in your prayers - another night with only 4 hours of sleep and another 4 hour road trip keeps me worrying about him...
Well, I just took a break from TAXES to post today! I'm off to make another (our 3rd) pot of coffee, and get back to crunching numbers!
Have a super Saturday!

Mmmm....Chocolate
Hand over the chocolate and no one gets hurt!
I’d stop craving chocolate but I’m not a quitter.
I'd stop eating chocolate but I'm not a quitter.
In the cookies of life...friends are the chocolate chips.
Life...Liberty...and the pursuit of chocolate!
Some things in life are better rich...coffee, chocolate, men.
On that note:

Here is an 'oh, so quick' card for the Chocolate Lover in us all! Patterned paper is purchaed from the Red Rooster (sorry, don't remember which brand, this is just scraps...), as are the cute brads. Stamp is by Ann-Ticipations. I cut out a single cookie, and used pop dots so it would stand out. The ink is Color Box Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink, and the card is distressed with same.
Have a good day - think chocolate!!!

My First Blog Award...
So...I actually received my first blog award this week! Thank you Jacquie! However, I have tried just about everything, and can't seem to 'pick it up' and 'bring it over'. So, you will just have to belive that I was awarded, and the five of YOU that were to get the award passed down are just out of luck. Sorry! If any of you out there know what I am doing wrong, please feel free to back-seat drive!

Anyway, today's card is made from all Angel Company stamps and papers. As I sit here and look out onto my field and count 13+deer grazing, it seems a very fitting card to post!
Did anyone out there hear about the young man in middle school that started the 'no cussing' group, "Swear Off Cussing"? Pretty cool story - the boy started the program in his small middle school, and it has grown to 30,000 members all over the country! There is a kiddo with a future! He's now getting into public speaking, talking to kids in schools everywhere!
Have a nice evening - it's back to the paperwork grind for me!

~Baseball players are smarter than football players. How often do you see a baseball team penalized for too many men on the field?

Happy Monday!
One down, four to go! Then we will have another weekend to bask in!
First of all, to any who prayed for Melissa's day to go well - thank you! She had a wonderful day, very much likes the new job, the people she is going to be working with, and the facility itself is overwhelmingly beautiful. Tami, today's first day on the job ring was the cute black one with the white stripes through it! (By the way chicka, we have some beads for you!!!)
Next, I just have to say that I've done some blog hopping the last few weeks, and I am so amazed and impressed by the wonderful folks out there that share the same love of paper, ink, stamps, ribbon, etc. The talent that I have seen is just incredible - God is indeed very good! I am reminded how good with every page I turn in "The Shack", which is what I am reading right now. I highly recommend it!

This card is Cloud Nine Designs Cardstock that I purchased at O'Dear's. The stamps are Angel Company, and the punch is a Martha Stewart border punch. The ink is Color Box Chalk Ink (Chestnut Roan), which I stamped and distressed the flower and all paper with.
Hope you like it!
I hope to have time to play the OCC Challenge again this week, but I have a ton of paperwork to do. It was a lot of fun to do the last couple of challenges. Many times, I'll come out and sit at my desk and not have any inspiration for a project. The challenges give inspiration, and a reason to be creating! I enjoy swaps for the same reason!
Happy Tuesday, hope to see you all tomorrow!

In Like a Lion...
Sheesh! It's true! March has roared in like a lion - the wind here has been so fierce the last few days! I feel sorry for the folks in that Rolla to Lebanon patch that ended up with around a foot of snow. Brrr....
Anyway, Happy March 1st! I believe that anything is cause to celebrate, so I'm choosing to celebrate March 1st! For those of you that are aware of my countdown, I now have completely filled January and February. I seem to continue to be given the emotional strength to get through each day one day at a time.
With that in mind, I think I'll post a cheery card!
All papers and stamps are from The Angel Company. These Bitty Bugs are just too cute not to post now and then!
I hope that you are all having a wonderful day! Our Melissa starts her new career with the YMCA tomorrow, so please send up some prayers that God keeps her safe in her travels, and that her day is a good one!
(By the way, guess you all know that spring ball games are under way? YAY Carpenter -GO REDBIRDS!)
Patti J.
~People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring. ~Rogers Hornsby
