Botty Over You!

I was so excited when Kristal asked me to be a Guest Designer for The Digi Kitty!

I love working with the fun and unique images that Kristal designs! I have entered many of her challenges, and even won one or two!!!
I’ve been lucky enough to have exchanged several e-mails over the last few months with Kristal, and I believe she is a good person, a good mom, and a good Christian, and I feel honored to be working with her!

For my project, which was hosted by Emma, I was asked me to create a Valentine Gift Bag or Box using one of her Valentine images. I chose these adorable “Botty Over You” images. The images are colored with colored pencils, and embellished with real hardware from DH’s tool drawer, Diamond Dots, Glitter & Glaze Pens, gemstones, and a teensy piece of ribbon at the bottom of the girl’s dress. I also made a matching greeting card. The images on the card were colored with TomBow Markers.

I hope you all love these images as much as I do! Run over to the Digi Kitty Store to grab your own set! They are inexpensive, fun to color and embellish, you have them instantly after purchase, and kids of all ages will love to receive them!
Have a great day!

Time in my 'girl cave'...

I have actually had a little time in my 'girl cave' today! And I have loved every minute of it! Let me show you what I've accomplished!
* * * * *

First, for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, this cute little guy called to me! The challenge was to use SNOW someplace on our card for a "Snowtacular" challenge! The image & sentiment is TAC's "In the Snow" set. I used Tombow Markers, Sparkly Fluff, Stampin'Up's Bashful Blue (for the sky), and my Starburst Clear and Silver Glitter pens.

Next, is a sympathy card. Sadly, DD's high school choir director lost her dad over the holidays. If that wasn't enough, their long time family dog also died a few days prior to her father's passing. Here is the card I made for Sue and her family...
I will sumit this to:
Flutterby Wednesday - (use butterfly, angel, or fairy on card)
Stamp Something - (Anything goes)
Creative Card Crew - (Anything Goes)
Charisma Cardz - (Anything but Christmas)

Last, but absolutely NOT least, is this darling image from The Digi Kitty!
In celebration of reaching 75 followers, The Digi Kitty posted this free, (yup FREE) digital image! This was just too much fun to pass up!
If you haven't been to the Digi Kitty's site, you must make the trip - their images are just delightful!
I did some paper piecing, and used a bit of glitter here and there, and I like the way it looks!

The next view shows all of the layers that I used. I printed and cut out this image several times to make it really pop off the page!

Here's how the card turned out!

Used a Martha Stewart edge punch, scraps of DP, and the image/frame is from Inkadinkado.

I will submit this to:

The Digi Kitty - (Use this image!)

My Time to Craft - (Anything goes)

So...I hope that you saw something here today that gave you a smile! I feel like it's been forever since I sat at my work table. I'm now getting ready to being the dreadful monthly reports for DH's business, so I may be scarce for the next few days. If I don't get to your blogs, trust me, it's not because I wouldn't rather be blurfing than doing monthly reports...lol!!!

Hugs!

Digi's... who would have thought???

When I decided to try my first digi image, it was under much duress! Really! I only digi'd at first because it seemed so big, so fast, that I thought I should learn in case my rubber stamps become obsolete like 8-track tapes.

-

Now, oddly, I find myself very much looking forward to the new digi releases!
They are in your possession immediately, you don't need to wait for them to be shipped, and you can resize them - how cool is that? There are some folks that are even savvy enough to know how to color them via computer and never pick up an inkpad! Anyway, that being said, today's post features two digi images!

-

I sort of had the urge to play with pop-up cards last night, so here's what I did!
-

Monday's challenge at There's Magic in the Air featured this darling penguin on ice skates.
Kim was the designer in charge (lol) this week, and her twist to Nina's cute image, was to use metallic or shiny paper, cardstock, etc.
Well....I have had this glittery self-stick stuff for-evah!
I decided to use it to create a frozen pond.
A little white fun flock around the edges, and this sweetie was skating her heart out!

The snowperson image is another of the SO CUTE images from The Digi Kitty.
I printed out Mr. Snow, and took the liberty of adding a little bit of ruffle and hat extension to give him the love of his life, Mrs. Snow! As you can see, they are quite happy!
(Whew...sure am glad that you can't see where Mr. Snow's hand is!)
(Guess Mrs. Snow should have had some rosy cheeks - I'm sure she's embarrassed!)
There is a Digi Kitty challenge on Paper Craft Planet, that I will probably enter this in.

Well, that's all I have for you today! I hope that these brought a smile to your day.
