You add sparkle to my life...

Goodness, it's been a week since I've posted! So sorry.
I did, however, fix my laptop while I've been keeping company with the ice bag,
so I can now leave comments from there!

Hope that you are all doing well!

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge at Paper Playtime this week,
and the theme is red, white, and blue.

With the 4th of July right around the corner, I just had to find time to create a patriotic card. This cute set is "Firecracker Bugs", and comes complete with DP and sentiments. I added some yellow, gold, and white stickles for lots of sparkle.

I made this card for my DH, who is my #1 craft fan, and also my soulmate! I'm hoping it will bring a smile to his cute little face on the morning of the 4th! The sentiment says "You Add Sparkle to my Life"...

Head on over to Paper Playtime, and join in their challenge - you could win a Doodle Pantry prize - how much fun would that be???!!!

Have a great evening - I'm off to cook supper.

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Food for thought: I'm going to start a new club, "The Trio Club".....I need three pairs of glasses - one for driving, one for reading, and one to find the other two!

From the Garden...

Quick post - busy day today! We are picking up our camper, and setting it up locally tonight to get the feel of everything. Will take pics!

Have you ever had one of those cards that work so well in your mind, but when you put them on cardstock, you end up laughing at your efforts? Tee hee...this is one of those type of cards! I was using the inspiration photo (above) from The Shabby Tea Room, and decided to try to literally be inspired, and make a window and wreath like the one in the photo. Best laid plans...good idea - not so good, pretty cheese, card!

Anyway, I'm going to enter it here:

Crazy 4 Challenges: "Buttons" (missed the challenge, but going to post anyway)

The Shabby Tea Room: "From the Garden"

Paper Playtime: "Flower Power"

Craftalicious Challenges: "Birthdays"

Pollycraft Challenge Blog: "Happy Birthday"

Stamp Something Challenges: "Something Flowery"

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend ~

Groovy!

Well friends, once again, dear daughter was the inspiration behind one of my cards.

DD stopped by the other night, and spent the night, before leaving the next morning for a visit with friends in Louisiana. When she left, she was wearing a very neon green t-shirt, which was as cute as can be! I had thought about the "Groovy" challenge at Paper Playtime for 4 full days, and didn't know what I was going to make for it. When I saw her in this cute t-shirt, with white print on the front, I knew exactly what had to be pulled out and inked up!!! PEACE ANYA!!! And here she is! Anya is almost as cute as dear daughter is!
Coloring is done with colored pencils and mineral spirits. Flowers on headband are highlighted with a bit of Glossy Accents. CS is DCWV Rock Star.
I will also enter this card here:
Ooh-la-la: use colors of the challenge blog (orchid, yellow, pink, green)
This card was created for the For Fun Challenge this week. The theme at For Fun is: For a man. This stamp set from Dimensions cracks me up - couldn't resist using it!

No coloring - everything is paper pieced. Sponging is done with Tim Holtz Adirondack inks.

That's all I have for tonight! I'm hoping to spend tomorrow with DH, so I will be back on Monday! Have a safe and blessed Sunday!

Food for thought: Only in America do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten, and buns in packages of eight!
