Greetings!

Greetings, my crafty friends!

I needed a fun, but simple card to send to our son and his wife, after
they had honeymooned in Paris.  What better set than this
A Muse Studio 'c'est la vie'?

I love the sheer simplicity of this one. I created it while having a crafty day with
my dear friend, Shirley!

I'm going to join in on the challenge at Blessings Ink this week, which is
'Anything Goes', using A Muse stamps.

Inks, cardstock and stamps are all A Muse products.

Hope you are off to a great week, so far!

Thanks for stopping by,
Patti J.

Berry Great Day!

Hello!

I'm here today as a Guest Designer for Doodle Pantry, with something fun to share!  Even though mice generally have me going 'Ewwwww.........', how could you not love this cute little guy?  This set is called Berry Nice Mice

The image was printed twice.  On one image, I used the 'outside the box' cutting technique with a Spellbinder's A2 Card Creator Die.  The darling bubbly background is some a muse cardstock, cut with the Spellbinder's A2 Card Creator 'Pearl Effects' Die (which was a gift from my good friend, Debbie Seyer!).  On the second image, I cut out the ears, and the two outside berry bunches.  After applying Glossy Accents to them, they were popped up with foam squares, over the first image.

What fun dimension!

This card is going to my Senior Buddy, and I'm hoping it brings a smile to her day!

Check out all of the NEW September releases at Doodle Pantry!  There are some great 'fall' images, and you can get started with Christmas too!

Thanks for stopping by,

Creating like crazy!

Happy Monday!  I'm not sure what's gotten into me this morning, but I have created 8 cards.  Seven of them are stuffed into envelopes, sealed, stamped and ready to go.  It suddenly dawned on me that I had not taken a photo of ANY for a blog post.  Ha ha ha...silly me!  Wasted opportunity, for sure.

Anyhoo, here's one that I did remember to photograph.  I have tried to keep all of the cards very simple, and meaningful to the recipients, with very little fru-fru.

Stamps: a muse studio "Autumn Leaves", Cardstock: 'Amuse Studio' and 'Kraft'.  Kaleidacolor Ink Pad "Autumn", Ribbon 'Hobby Lobby', and of course, I used my Perfect Layers Rulers for that gorgeous, straight, matting of the focal panel!  Check out my sidebar for details - you could save 5%!
This one is going to someone(s) very special to us!

Have a great day!
Be sure to stop back tomorrow, as we are having a new release hop for Creations by AR!  It's a good one! Think cookies, coffee, and candles!

Hugs & Blessings,
Patti J.

Thanks a Latte...

Happy Labor Day, to all!

What a gorgeous day it is here in Missouri.  It's about 89 degrees, but oh my goodness, such a delightful breeze!  It could be this way all year round...I even took the convertible to town earlier today!

Gotta love 'going topless' when the weather is pretty!

When we gals went to Collinsville in August, I made some make & take projects. Unfortunately, the others are in the mail, and I forgot to photograph them.  But here is one card that I made using stamps from the Stamping Sensations booth.

Also, our friend, Chelsea Comer, who drove down from Rockford, Il., for the Collinsville weekend, came bearing gifts.  What a fun surprise to see her pull these wonderful rosettes our of her bag - one for each of us!  Chelsea, if you are reading, thank you SO much! This is proudly displayed in my CRoffice (craft room/office).  All products used are from the a muse studio catalog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
I've been a bit MIA this week - am battling a rash of some sort, and am near the crazy point with itching.  Can't sit still long enough to do much 'blurfing'.  I'm going to get into my dermatologist as soon as possible, so hopefully, I'll be back to my normal stalking of your blogs very soon.

Have a great evening!

Happy Anniversary

Hello!

I hope that you all enjoyed a safe and happy 4th of July!  We had a house full, and it was so nice!
4 of the 8 visitors were age 10 and under, and we loved every minute of spoiling them!

I haven't done much creating this week, but I thought I would share a card that I recently created for a couple at our church.

The papers are from a Bazzill paper pad, and a Paper Studio paper pad.  The sentiment is from the dollar bin at Michael's (gotta love shopping in a dollar bin, right?) and I've had it for several years. Heart is drawn and cut out by hand, button from my stash, and Baker's Twine is from A muse Studios. My focal piece has a beautiful straight border, created with my Perfect Layers Rulers (see sidebar for details).

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a great weekend,

Patti J.

Happy Birthday to Me :)

Hello!
The scale was good to me this morning - down 2.4, for a total of 58.9! Best ever birthday gift!

It's been another busy week here.  Our DD and dear SIL arrived Sunday night, and will be here until early next week.  It's been wonderful having them (and our sweet granddaughter doggie, Rosie) here, but so bittersweet.  They will leave next week to do some traveling, goodbyes with Nick's parents, and take the honeymoon that never took place a year ago due to Nick's deployment.  When they come back through here to pick up Rosie, they will be heading to Germany for the next three years!  Wonderful opportunity for them, and we have a great place to vacation to :)  But we will miss them so much...

Here is another quick post to share.  Again, I used the same stamps, same papers, different colors, to get out a couple of notes to our church choir director and her choir, and a friend who sang a solo in Sunday's Easter Cantata. Time in my girl cave has been minimal, so these 'same' type cards are the easiest right now.

All cards are created with Biblical Impressions Stamps, A Muse CS, Hammermill 100# CS, ribbon from my stash, and Copic Markers

I apologize for my lack of visiting your blogs, but right now, I'm spending every spare moment with DD and her DH.  I'll be stalking you again next week!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Creations by AR - Mothers and Grads Blog Hop

Good morning, and thanks for dropping by to hop with us!

Adela has been busy over at Creations by AR, designing some fun and very useful templates for Mother's,  and for those Graduates that you need to remember with a little something, or a lotta cash...
let's get started!

As always, there will be prizes.  There will be two winners per blog - each winner will receive one of the new templates.  How do you win?  Very simple - leave a comment at each blog!  That's it! Winners will be posted on Friday.  If you get lost, the blog roster is below!

First up is the Birdhouse Topiary.  Oh my goodness - what a fun project!  As you know, I do not have a cutting machine, so all cutting is done by hand.  There were a lot of pieces, but the directions were concise, and the pieces were well marked.  I had no trouble figuring it out!  As you can see by the photos, you can display the entire piece as one, or you can set the birdhouse next to the base, which you can fill with candy, money, etc.

CS: a muse, Butterfly punch: Martha Stewart, Flowers on base & sign on house: computer generated. Butterfly bodies and sign 'hanger' were drawn with zig pen.

Next, we'll move on to the Grad Cap.  This was easy peasy!  Three pieces - the box (which can be used alone), the cap top, and the sentiment piece.  The Congratulations stamp is a Michael's $1 bin stamp, and the scroll is from a Doodle Pantry digi image set.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  You can purchase both of these templates at Creations by AR.
Now, hop on over to Sue's Stamping Stuff to see her gorgeous creations!

 Blog Hop Roster
Patti J. (that's me!!!)
Shirley Hotop, Guest Designer

Be sure to stop back on Friday to see if you are one of two lucky winners on my blog!!!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Close-Knit Friends....CPS 252

Good morning!

I want to take just a moment to wish our DD a very, very Happy Birthday!  DD, if you are reading, we hope that your day today is filled with blessings!  We love you very much.

Well...I'm sure that you are all too busy doing that weekend 'happy dance' to be out blurfing, but just in case you happen by, I have a fun card to share with you.  I promise this will be a very short post!  I saw this sketch yesterday at CPS,

and immediately thought of this stamp set, and the A muse gingham CS.

Supplies: DCWV Black CS, A muse Gingham CS, Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury White CS, Gina K. Designs, "Close-Knit Friends" stamp set, Copic Markers, Stampin'Up! Ticket Punch,  Zig Pen (faux stitching), dimensional foam (Hobby Lobby).
I am normally very freaked out by the thought of making a CAS card, but I think this one actually turned out pretty cute!  My dear mom used to crochet, and used to have such pretty yarns!

Have a wonderful weekend!

A Little A-Musing Ghost...

Happy Friday - I hope that you have a great weekend ahead of you!

So, you know how we have talked about those projects that just plain frustrate us silly,
and then those that we just love?
Hee hee, well today's little card is one that you can't help but fall in love with.
A couple of weeks ago, my friend Shirley came over to 'play'.
We had seen a video on the Hero Arts blog, where they made a cute little tri-fold window card, and we just had to make one!
She had also just signed on to be an A muse demonstrator, and had new Halloween stamps to play with.
We were in stamping heaven!
It always amazes us how we can make the same thing, with small variations, and such different results!
Here is my card:

Card closed

Card semi opened

Card fully opened

Back of card
Images, cardstock, bat die cuts, sentiment - all A-Muse products.  Ink is Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Ribbon from my stash.
Edited:  This is 9" x 3", and is scored at 3" and 6".

Now, I hope that you will stop over at Shirley's blog and leave her a little bit of love!
Her card is totally adorable!
She used a different image, and shaded a bit differently, and it turned out so cute!!!

Hope this teensy little card gave you a smile, maybe even a giggle!

Have a great day,
Patti J.

Don't wail on the scale if you cheat when you eat....(ugh, this one was written for me)
