Pic of the Week at The House That Stamps Built - Fun Fold Card!

 Hi everyone!

It's my turn to once again share a Pick of the Week at The House that Stamps BuiltThe Repeat Impressions Stampthat I picked to showcase are:

1919 G I Love You Beary
1015 L Polar Bear Kisses
2011 D Mistletoe

Here's what I made!  My dear hubby loves Polar Bears, so this will be his Christmas card this year (shhhhhh.......must swear you all to secrecy).

Everyone has probably been just like me - used this fold many times, but long ago, and long forgotten!  So here is a gentle refresher for those who HAVE made this design, and a tutorial for those who have not yet tried it!

Let's get started!

For the card base, you will need a piece of cardstock that is 8.5" x 5.'"
Score with the long edge at the top of your scoring board at 4.25".

Here is what your folded base looks like, so far.
Next, measure up 2.75", and make a tiny pencil mark.
Where the point of my bone folder is, you see a tiny black mark - that is my pencil mark.

Next, using scissors or your paper trimmer, cut from outside edge in to the score line. This is what your card base looks like opened up.

Adhere a piece of patterned paper to the inside panel of your card base. This should measure 4" x 5.25".

Next, close your front flap, and add a piece of coordinating patterned paper measuring 2.5" x 4".

Now, open your card back up, and adhere one or two panels for your message or additional stamping. As you can see, I used two panels, measuring 2.5" x 4".  I took a tiny strip of the plaid paper, and added it to the top edge of the page with the bells, just for a little break in the pattern.

Decide what you want to use for your focal panel, and create it. You can use a square, circle, oval, rectangle, or even a pretty die cut. I chose to use these three fun stamps, and make a sweet scene. Be sure when you adhere the panel to your card, that you only apply adhesive to the lower part of your panel, or you will glue your card shut!  (ask me how I know this...)

Here is a photo of what your finished card will look like on the inside after you adhere your focal panel.

Hope you like this - Give it a try!

For this week only (November 16 - November 22, 2020), get 20% off the three stamps used in my creation above when you use the coupon code POTW111620.

Thanks for stopping by today!
