Blog Candy!

Blog Candy!!!

Edited: Just a reminder of the blog candy below!

Hi crafty friends!

It's been a LONG time since I last offered a blog candy. Time to give something away! You have all been so patient with me the last two years, during my illness of 2018, and our moving, and I appreciate that you are still popping in here to visit and leave such nice comments!

A few weeks ago, I won an amazing box full of goodies from Susan Opel. All she asked, was that I Pay It Forward, and offer a give-a-way of the things that I might already own, or simply might not use.  I'm caught up with my August DT responsibilities, so this seemed a great time to Pay It Forward!

You are only seeing the top of this deep box!

If you are interested in winning a box full of crafty items (stamps, dies, stencils, stickers, etc.) that belonged to Susan, just leave me a comment below, telling me about one of your favorite Christmas Traditions. I can't wait to read your comments!

This Blog Candy will be open for comments from today (August 8th) until Saturday, August 15th. A winner will be announced afternoon or evening of Sunday, August 16th, so be sure to check back that evening!!! Hopefully, you can Pay it Forward, as well!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Such a nice giveaway! My Christmas traditions have unfortunately ended, so need to create a new one now. But spending time with family is our biggest tradition that will never change. Every year we fly to visit my family and then fly on again to visit my husband's family (or vice versa). That will mostly stay the same, just a different mix of family now and likely changed traditions on my side. (I am from Canada, so I'm not sure if I can be in the giveaway mix, but wanted to leave a comment anyway).

One of our favorite Christmas traditions is to attend the children’s Christmas program at church. I hope it will be able to have it this Christmas.

What an awesome giveaway. Looks like lots of fun goodies. Thanks for the opportunity to win. One of my favorite Christmas traditions is baking mini loaves of cranberry pumpkin bread and zucchini bread for gifts. I make stamped belly bands and gift tags to go with them. I also make my special slow cooker Chex mix. Christmas Day we spend with our extended family and I have a special Christmas pasta salad that I always make. It's such fun to watch the little ones open their gifts.

my favorite is one that we had the whole time the kis=ds were at home. we would usually do it the day after black fri. sometimes on black fri. we would get all the stuff down to decorate. then begin the process. we use to watch the boys debate over who got to put the star on the top of the tree. the whole time we played goofy's Christmas album. we had hot tea with peppermint candy canes ready for our beverage and when the kids got a little older the tree topper was replaced by and angel. then we had to "hare" the star topper alternating years so they could decorate their windows. we had an insert that was a talking tree and we put that in every year. it was kind of a slapstick comedy routine. you could play other cassettes in it too. we always used the one that came with it. it was motion activated and when we went to bed we would turn the sensor on. i can't tell you how many times we would be startled in the middle of the night from it. fun days. thanks for paying it forward!

What a wonderful pay it forward blog candy Patty, fantastic goodies!

My favorite tradition was Christmas Eve dinner at my home with all the family, followed by Christmas Carolers outside, then attending Mass at midnight, next morning watching the Christmas specials on TV with the kids as they open their gifts. Now my daughter is carrying on the tradition with her kids.

Hugs, Lori m

Oh, wow! This looks like an awesome box full of goodies! One of my favorite Christmas traditions that we just started a couple years ago (3 or 4), is a type of advent calendar that we do with the kids. We have an envelope for each day from Dec 1-Dec 25. The envelopes hang in our entry way and as we open them, we replace them with Christmas cards we have received. Each envelope had a little card with a Scripture reading for the day (all involving the Christmas story) and on the other side, a special activity for the day. Some days are Christmas related crafts, some days are a special trip to do Christmas-y things, sometimes it is a special treat, but each day is different. The kids really enjoy it, and I do too! Thanks for the chance to win!
