If you've been wondering why I've been a bit MIA this week, I'm here
to explain what's been happening here.
It's been a sad week 'way up here' on Gilliam Hill.
Our beautiful pound puppy, Flake, crossed that Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, January 5th.
She was with us for over 13 years, and has left a pretty big hole in our hearts.
She and DH were pretty much attached at the hips. Wherever he went, she went. She
rode his jobsites with him nearly every trip - including one last road trip the next morning.
He is pretty lost without her - we both miss her terribly.
She had these fluffy little feet that made no noise on the hardwood or tile floors, and
our DD nicknamed her 'Muppet Feet'. We sure are missing that faint little
pad, pad, pad of those 'Muppet Feet'....
RIP, dear Flake - we love you.

RIP sweet Flake - you are sorely missed, you had a wonderful life with your amazing Mom and Dad who loved you dearly. I still get teary eyed when I think about it.

So sorry Patti! I know how hard that must be~we lost our dog of 17 yrs a couple years ago and still miss him each day but we know he is in a better place and in no pain. Hang in there~big hug!

Oh, Patti, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband. I've been there and it's so hard. When my dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I didn't get out of bed for three days. I'd been blessed to have him for 15 years. Sending lots of comforting hugs my friend.

Oh I am so sad for you and your sweetie. It is just so hard isn't it? I almost lost my 14 year old puppy twice this last fall, but he has pulled through, but I know it is a matter of time. I know first hand how devastating it feels. Give your hubby a big HUG for me and a big hug to you too. So very sorry Patti.

Awwww, Patti, I'm so sorry! I know the ache of losing a member of the family like Flake. I'm just glad you have 13 years of memories and some photos to fall back on for comfort. RIP Flake.

Prayers and (((hugs))) of comfort headed your way. Our Midge is pushing 15. I'm sure we don't have much longer with her. She used to spend every moment with me in my studio in our walk-out basement, but the stairs are getting harder and harder for her. So I'll go upstairs and hug her right now!
