CardMaker Magazine - Sakura Blog Hop

Happy Monday to all!

Today, the CardMaker Magazine Blog Team has a special blog hop for you.
A couple of weeks ago, our team received a package of happy mail
from Leslie, at Sakura of America!
My package contained two Sakura Quickie Glue Pens, Item #38480,
and two Sakura White Gel Pens, Item #37493.

I'm excited to share my projects with you today - I had such a great time with my happy
mail...Thanks, Leslie, and CardMaker!

Here's what I created:

For this first card, I used a great background stamp from my stash.
The background was stamped on pink cardstock.  I cut the panel to the size desired,
and proceeded to doodle with the white pen!  What fun - I think this is called the Bandana
Technique - it really DOES look like a bandana, right?
The white gel pen was SO smooth, and left such nice fine lines!
The panel was matted, adhered to the card base and embellished with some white nailheads.
I used a digital set for the sentiment. This card was mailed to a wonderful man at our
church, who has been a light to us all for the past MANY years. He has stage 4 cancer,
and is in need of happy mail.  The inside is another digi sentiment, and reads, "Thank you for shining your light".  I wanted this flat for mailing, and used the Quickie glue pen for the sentiment - worked perfectly!

For this purple card, I used the layered technique.  The large panel was cut for the
card front, and a smaller panel for the inside.  The smaller panel was adhered over the large panel with repositionable adhesive, and another image from the above background set was stamped over both purple panels.  Again, I doodle on the images, and wow - what a relaxing evening I had!
The smaller panel was matted, and both it and the larger purple panel were adhered to the
card front using the Quickie Glue Pen. The sentiment was also from the digital set,
and was matted and popped up with some dimensional foam.

For this card, I used a piece of pretty teal cardstock, put it in an embossing folder,
and dry embossed it.  Once again, I doodled on the raised images!  All of the white flowers, squiggles, and dots were done with the White Gel pen. The two ribbon tabs, and
the sentiment were adhered using the Quickie Glue Pen!

(Not sure why the sentiment looks like it's on a different color...hmmmmm.....?)

Aaah....the green card!  This one was honest doodling!  I have a Stampin'Up! scoring board,
and when I purchased it, I also purchased the stencil overlay.  I used this overlay to
create ALL of this doodling!  Pretty cool, right? Flat for mailing, and so cheerful.
The sentiment actually said Warm Winter Hugs, but I only stamped and heat
embossed the Hugs and hearts.

Hope you enjoyed my projects, and will try some of these products yourselves. I think you will be very pleased with them.  I had a great time using both the gel pens and the glue pens, and
will be reaching for them often.

Time to see what my CardMaker Blog Teamies have done with their Sakura goodness!

Look at you go! Love the pink Bandana technique. It's one of my favourite techniques. It gives you cards such an impact using your white pen. Rock on!

Wow, fantastic doodling, Patti. You made such fun and cheerful cards. I love them all! When you find the mystery that makes your sentiment look a different colour, will you please share? It often happens to me and I can't figure it out either :-)
