Sweet Little Angel and HELP!

Is it really Tuesday?
Goodness, does anyone know who stole Monday from me?
Well, hello there, and Happy Tuesday!

Have you been over to Inspired Stamps yet to look around?
Well...if you like love adorable images with ginormous, beautiful eyes, you're going to like it there!
A couple of weeks ago, I participated in one of their blog hops,
and was the lucky winner of the Grand Prize, which included this darling stamp set.
(If any of the Inspired Stamps folks are reading, thanks again!!!)
This little guy is called Choirboy/Angel, as you have the choice of using the wings and halo.
Well, I decided that for today, he'd be an angel, so here he is, in all of his glitter!

Front of card

Side view (hopefully you can see the 3-d wings too)
All coloring with Copic markers, CS=Bazzill, DecoArt Glamour Dust, irridescent twine from my stash, Tombow Mono-Glue, and Scor-Tape.

I hope that you will hop over to Inspired Stamps and take a look around.
They have the cutest little soldiers, a nativity set, and many more.

Thanks for looking :)

So, are you curious about the plea for HELP in my title?
Recently, our No-Kill Animal Shelter was nearly shut down, due to non-compliance of their sewage system.  DH and I decided that we couldn't let that happen.  DH's job there is nearly finished.  After 5 months of working every weekend, he's built them a new plant, which became operational last week.

On the flip side of this, I have become active with the shelter itself.
I've worked some on the pet side, gathering photos and data for PetFinder, etc.,
and was just asked to coordinate a pet themed craft corner on the Thrift Shop side.
Here's where I hope you can help...I have very few pet-themed craft items.

Here are some of the things that would be helpful:
  • Pet themed stamps that you no longer use, including sentiments
  • Stamped images of cats and/or dogs that I could create with, including sentiments
  • Pet themed ribbon
  • Pet themed Designer Papers or Cardstock
  • Pet themed brads or other embellishments
  • IDEAS!!!!!   If you have any wonderful ideas for a pet related item, PLEASE feel free to share!

I hope this helps give you an understanding. Basically, we need to be able to create a variety of pet themed items, so any items or ideas, would be appreciated.

Also, if you happen to LOVE to sew and have idle time, we'd love to have pet sweaters, jackets, hair bows, etc., as well.

It is our goal to have enough inventory to open up the corner at the annual Open House to be held at the shelter on December 3rd.

If you think you might be able to help with any of these items, please email me at:
mamagilliam at gmail dot com

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!
Hugs and blessings...
Patti J.

Food for thought:  The longer we carry a grudge, the heavier it gets.

Great thing that you and your hubby are doing! I'll look and see if I've got anything. In the meantime Operation Write Home (sends blank handmade cards to soldiers overseas to use to write home) has some truly great free digis of our mascot, Ciara. http://operationwritehome.org/digis.html Also www.dulemba.com has some great free digis of cute animals. Click on color to access them. Would you be interested in finished cards of animals? Or just supplies?

OK, first the card. . .I laughed out loud because I swear, that is the exact look Gunther gives me when I'm pissed at him! Love the design of this card. Very cool. OK, now for the shelter. . .I have a couple of ideas I want to pass by you, so I'll be emailing you after this comment. Love that you guys are helping the shelter. Hugs, Curt

Love the big eyes on that little angel ... looks like he is singing from his heart! You certainly did him justice with your creative card, Patti.

Warms my soul to hear about people like you and your hubby, for going the extra mile and taking care of business so that the abandoned and forgotten animals have a place to rest until they find their forever homes. It would be a waste of money to send you a parcel of items since the postage would be a fortune but rather I would be happy to send you a donation that you can spend getting whatever supplies you would like to create with. (private email me)

Lovely card Patti!

Here's an idea: You could get some frames and such and decorate them {pet themed of course!} and use them as frames to hod pictures of their pets!!

I hope it all goes well!
