The Reveal...

Hello everyone! Hope you are enjoying your week. I can't believe we are more than halfway through Monday already...

Well, the wedding is over, and it was a success.

Everything went off as it was planned, and the bride and groom and their families loved the favors.

As I said last week, it was nice for me that Misty chose the two easiest favors in the entire box of samples. She chose the green striped paper, and wanted the little roses, so she was quite pleased!

Here are the finished favors, front and back:

These were covered Hershey's miniature candies. I covered them first with the striped papers, then with the photo strip. I made a piece for the back to help stabilize the candies, and also to put Misty and Carl's thank you note.

These are the little pockets that we paper crafters love to make. Started with a square, and made a few folds. Adhered the Ghirardelli candy with a piece of 1" scor-tape. Punched a hole through the front, put the flower stem in. Secured it on the inside with small piece of packing tape, and tied the ribbon around the flower. Added the photo with scor-tape.

The back...

This is what I did with a whole lotta leftover candies. I just did this on an address label with Printmaster, and wrapped.

Well, that's it, folks! Spent a few minutes this morning with the vampire ladies at the clinic having some six month checkup labs done, spent HOURS trying to find something in my closet that fits, then shopping this whole (teensy) town for something that fits...ugh. Have a reception for my DH to go to tonight, and I don't much like wearing 'real clothes' anymore!

Have a great night, and I'll be back tomorrow with something pretty, and the next day with a surprise!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Food for thought: Why do we spend so much time buying things we don't need, with money we don't have, to impress people we don't like?

You did a super duper job on the favors, PJ! Not making the favors for my DD's wedding, but they will get a bit of decorating. As for the real clothing thing, me in a gown is going to be more than interesting! Can't tell you the last time I had a skirt of any sort on. Bet you will look awesome tonight. Take a photo!

So happy that your creations are so well received at the wedding. My thoughts on your question - perhaps it's this subconscious wish for approval from all and sundry

Love the favors and I know the bride and groom were thrilled. Love the little rosebuds - just the perfect touch. Like I told you - it is not what you have on - it is what is inside that make you beautiful!!!

What lovely favors and I am sure everyone loved them....are you tired of striped green paper????
Staying home and not having to dress for work outside the home has spoiled me. I haven't bought hardly anything to wear in the last couple of years. May have to get some tops .... my summer ones are getting kinda shabby and don't even want to think about dressing up.
Hope you have a great time tonight.

I feel your pain. I hate shopping for clothes. However I am finally starting to embrace my fatness a little more, and I'm actually wearing take tops this summer, I don't care what my arms look like! Ha. I'm working on a tan. I didn't wear any shorts last year, only capri's, so I think now that my shins are stark white, I'm gonna shop for some shorts, it's just too hot here to not wear the least amount of clothing possible. Your favors are fabulous. So sweet of you to do that. Very clever my dear!
