Yawn....It'll be okay

Good morning!
Sigh...it was another 4 a.m. day here. I have no idea why we cannot sleep all night - even spent a ginormous amount of money on a sleep number bed a while back.
Oh well, it'll be okay - sleep is over-rated anyway, right?

Speaking of "It'll be okay", I have a fun card for you today.
Last week, I had an afternoon at my friend Shirley's.
Shirley had purchased many of the cute little Pure Innocence stamps by My Favorite Things, and guess who inked up a few?
Yup, ME! (You really ARE the smartest readers in the world!)

Supplies Used: Nesties, Yellow Baker's Twine, Die-Namics Cloud Die, Pure Innocence "My Umbrella", Glossy Accents, Copic Markers, Dimensional Dots, Echo Park DP, Adhesive

This little gal is from the set, "My Umebrlla". She's colored with Copic markers, stitched with Copic Multiliner, and her rain gear is embellished with some Glossy Accents. Since the forecast calls for rain here AGAIN today, I thought the image only fitting! Since the Cardinal's let the Dodger's whip 'em last night 2-1, I think the sentiment is only fitting!

I haven't done a challenge in a while, so I think I will enter this card here:
Let's Ink it Up: Stitching
Papers Scissors Rocks: Inspired by the earth (rain)
The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge: Stitching

I don't know about all of you, but I think it is time for an "Itty-Bitty Blog Candy"!!!!
Just leave me a comment, and tell me what you do with all of the cards you make!

You do NOT have to be a follower to comment, but if you are one of my followers, you'll be entered twice! I will draw a name tomorrow morning!
Good luck!

Have a great week!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

It's raining here too, so your card fits perfectly and I love the clouds.

I often give my cards to the nursing home where my Grandma resides. It's fun to see the little ladies ~ and some of the gentlemen too~ fighting over them.

The cute image and Glossy Accents really makes it look like a raincoat!

I give my cards away, since many of my parent's friends want them! But I still haven't found a way to organize the ones still here...

I never seems to be able to make enough cards, as all my kids always seems to be in a need for some cards, if I haven´t made them for a spwecial occation LOL. So there´s never any left, no matter how many I make ha ha ha.

Hi Patti! Sorry to hear you are having trouble sleeping...but a nap is good too! I had some problems like that last winter.

AWE - how cute she worked up - I am anxious to color her now!!! I have a few other projects waiting to be done so... A lot of my cards go to my Chemo Angels patients, of course dear granddaughters, my girls at work, and my little groups of teens that make cards for the local hospice patients. Still I have "lots" left!!!

The glossy accents work perfectly with this image. So cute!

Most of my projects are designed for my classes so I keep those as samples. The rest of what I make gets sent out to family and friends, mostly for birthdays.

Well, isn't this a little sweetie?! Love the glossy accents and the clouds are nicely placed offset from the image.

Honestly, I used to keep most of my cards, but now I give them away, often for no particular reason (that's why I don't always put sentiments on the card fronts, so I can use them for whatever reason).

BTW Patti ... sleep IS over-rated (especially as we get older!).

Netty said...

Sorry you are not getting enough sleep, methinks I sleep too much.........yes I sleep for an hour in the afternoon as well....must be getting old....lol
Loving your card, so pretty. Terrific image and love those clouds.
You asked about what happened to the cards I make, they mainly go out to family and friends and any left over for the year go to the local hospice. Take care, Annette x

Bright colorful card, very cute image. Don't you just love when a friend has stamps you love!
Get some sleep, the lack of it catches up with you.

Hugs
Sue

Good question, I have so many cards, and they are too heavily embellished to be sent for a reasonalbe amount of money through the mail. Better hand delivered, but they are stacking up, will be interested to see what people say.

Beth Norman said...

Hi Patti,

Yes, sleep is over-rated--LOL.

Your card is so darn cute. I love your coloring. The blue around the image is perfect.

I send many of my "not so nice" cards to my sister to use. She's so impressed by them, but she doesn't see what I'm holding back. What I do hold back, I hoard and rarely use.
