Something to Cheer About!

Happy Monday!

I hope that you are all surviving the day. Most of us don't care too much for Monday, and it's a dreary, gloomy, cold one here. I am not complaining though, as there is NO snow on the ground! That is definitely something to cheer about!

I have something else to cheer about today! Our great-niece, Taylor, found out that she made the Cheerleading Squad for her middle school for the 2011-2012 school year - Wahoo! I put together a card today to hopefully bring her a smile. Their teams are the Rebels, and their colors are red, white, and blue...

The card is a gatefold, and the image is actually a magnet. She can open the card, and put the magnet on her fridge, or in her school locker if she likes.

Supplies Used: Honey Cheer Digi from All That Scraps, Bazill CS, Ranger Denim Ink, Corner Rounder, Magnets, Oval Nestie, Nail Heads from Michael's, Copic Markers, Cuttlebug, Dotted Swiss Embossing Folder, Sentiment from The Angel Company, Confetti Stamp from StampCraft.

It's been a long while since I participated in a challenge! I'm going to enter at The Cuttlebug Spot where the challenge is to make a gate fold card.

Next, I have a question for the smartest readers in the world! And yes, I will be sending out an Itty-Bitty Blog Candy for one randomly drawn reader who comments on this blog post! My question to you is actually two parts:

Do you listen to music while you create your masterpieces? If so, what is your favorite music to craft by???

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

What a fun card!
I do listen to music while I craft...usually 80's or country music but often I put in Enya as she's so soothing!

Taylor will so love that! You may have to make 11 more! Her cheer partners may all want one for their locker!!! When I craft, I usually have christian music on, or else dead quiet!!! which means late at nite, or no one home!!! Love ya bunches

Well first of all, congrats to Taylor! That is so exciting for her and a very real accomplishment. And your card fits the occasion perfectly. The fact that you thought to make it into a magnet is pure genius.

OMG how awesome is this - and I am sure Taylor is going to love it. What a cool idea to make a magnet. I usually don't have music on as I have a tv in my room but I have it on for the noise.

I love this idea of the magnet card topper! I am sure she will put this sweet little image on her locker door and enjoy it every day instead of in a drawer or (even worse, chuck it out!) Great idea!
Thanks for sharing! :o)

Oh yes, the music...Classical, if I am alone.
C&W oldies if my niece is here as well...we love it! And if more than three here, usually no music since we are usually doing too much talking to hear any tunes! :D

This is so very sweet, Patti -- what a wonderful, personal gift for your niece. Congrats to her -- you must be so proud! I never thought to make a magnet to attach to a card -- thanks for sharing this great idea! I do listen to music when I craft, and it varies depending on my mood. Country, Christian, or old 80s music tend to be the usual. How about you?
