This will be a short post, as I have a very full day today!

This card is for a sweet young lady that will be entering the hospital today, to deliver a baby tomorrow. This baby is very ill, and needs all of the thoughts and prayers that you can all gather.

Votive Holder Reminisce Style...

Hello, and yippee for weekends!

Hope that you are off to a great weekend!

I thought that I'd enter the Reminisce challenge this week.  The challenge is "Home Decor".  Using Reminisce products, the challenge called for making something for your home decor.  I decided to create this votive holder.  The DP is from the 'Spring is in the Air' paper collection.  I actually think this paper has a fall feel to it!  The DP is double sided, so the votive holder is covered with one side, and the border is from the other side.

Hope that you like it!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and blessings,

Patti J.

Do Not Open!!!

Hi everyone,

If you get an e-mail from Chris Olsen or from me, or any other of your crafting friends, asking you to check out a link, please mark it as spam and don't open it!  We did not send it.   For safety sake, I've also changed my e-mail/blog passwords.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

You can still sign up for my blog candy on yesterday's post!

Hmmm.... I'm thinking that for every new follower I get between now and the 24th, I'm going to add a buck to the gift certificate.  What do you think?  I have 289 today.....
Have a great day - off to the Pet Shelter to take some photos for Pet Finder!

Wishing You Joy, and Blog Candy!

Hello...

It's almost Friday!

I have a very simple card today that I made for an upcoming wedding. It's my understanding that the color brown is involved, so I went with brown and white.
(It really is brown, although it looks black in the photo).

For this card, I used some clear stamps that I found ages and eons ago
at Michael's in their dollar bin.

I never remember to use these stamps until our good friend Curt uses them.
Then I always say to self: "duh, self, now why don't I ever think to use those fun stamps"...
So, Curt, if you are reading, thanks for the weekly inspiration!

Now for the CANDY!!!
I have my third blogaversary coming up in 16 days.
Three years, amazing!
Some lucky person will recieve a $25 gift card to the on-line store of their choice!

To enter, all you need to do is be a blog follower,
and leave a comment on today's blog post.

Good luck to you all!
I will draw a winner on my Blogaversary, Saturday, September 24th!

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a good day,
Patti J.

Midnight Madness!

Hello out there! Happy Wednesday -
oh my goodness, where has this week gone already?

I have a pretty short post today - many things to do!

Did you know that Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Midnight Madness MMSC120 Sketch Challenge? Hop over to their blog and check out the challenge, and the great prize!

My card features the Doodle Pantry Quirky Ostrich. All coloring is done with Copics.
The DP is from the Quirky Ostrich set, as well.

I hope that you will check out the Midnight Madness Challenge and give it a try!
While you are at it, use a Doodle Pantry image along with this sketch, and you can enter your card in the challenge at Doodle Pantry as well!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day - hugs and smiles!

Doodle Pantry September New Releases!

Happy Labor Day!

It is the 5th of the month, and you know what that means -
It's New Digi Release Day at Doodle Pantry!
There are LOTS of fun new images this month, so be sure to stop by
the store to check them out!

For my first card, I used a new September set, called "Quirky Bat".
I'm pretty sure that a Halloween bat is supposed to be spooky, but
honestly, have you ever seen a cuter bat? lol...

This set comes as a pre-colored digital image set, as well as outlines that you can color yourself, several sentiments, AND digi papers! I chose to use the outlines, and colored them with Copic markers. The DP, however, is pre-colored and is a part of this fabulous set!
The center step card seemed perfect for this cutie patootie!

Next up, is a fun set called "Antique Slot Machine".
How much fun would this be for friends heading to Vegas?
I kept this card very basic and simple, so that Laurie's image would be the focus.

Just look at all of the fine detail on the front!
I added one of the sentiments to the front of the slot machine -
it seemed like a good place for it...
The intricate scrollwork and edge trims were colored with Copics and highlighted with Spica Glitter Pens for a bit of shine and sparkle (unfortulately the photo didn't pick this up).

  • Check out the DT's fabulous samples!
The theme for the DPDC #16 Challenge is to use a Doodle Pantry Image.
For playing along, and submitting an entry that uses a Doodle Pantry image, you will receive a free set, "Popsicle Ants".
  • Spooky Wreath set is free with any purchase for the month of September!

Thanks for stopping by, and hope you have a wonderful week!

Lots of photos....Grab your coffee!!!

Hello, and Happy Friday!

I have oodles of photos for you today, so I'll keep my words very short! I was invited to serve as a Guest Designer at Creative Cuts and More for September and October! Thanks to Terri and her wonderful DT for thinking of me!

For my first part of this project, I chose to work with the Library Pocket Card #02. I used it as a card front on a standard A2 sized card.

All of the stamps you will see on these items are from Our Daily Bread Designs. All DP is from the Cosmo Cricket Material Girl Paper Pad, and all coloring is done using my Copics.

This is the Tag #03, Small with Layer from Creative Cuts and More.

My project was designed with DD in mind. She has just begun sewing 'sock critters' in her spare time, and is in need of buttons and other little embellishments. I thought it would be fun to create a funky box for her, so I inverted the Bell Box with Layers from Creative Cuts and More. You can see the box here as it should be!
I hope no one at CCM is offended that I took the liberty to invert this fabulous box!!!

This just shows side view...

And here is a view of the back...look at those ca-ute buttons!

And of course, the top! (which is really the bottom...lol)

Here is the bag of buttons that will go into the box...

And here it is all ready to mail!
Hope DD will like it :)
If you haven't been to Creative Cuts and More, it's well worth the trip! They have literally hundreds of items just waiting for you to create with!!! Cards, tags, boxes, bags, and lots more!

Thanks for stopping by - have a great weekend!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.
