Hello, my crafty friends!
I'm excited to be guest designing for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps for the month of October!
I got to work with this company last year and I very much enjoyed creating with their beautiful, high quality stamps. I was eager to get started with the fun stamps that Lynn Anderson sent me this month.
I was asked to use each stamp set in two different ways. So... this first card is stamped and colored right out of the package, with no embellishing. Isn't is a beautiful image? I've never seen one that actually includes the reflection of the boat. Pretty awesome, right?
I thought this would be pretty in slimline style, so that I could showcase the stamped image with some creative ink blending. I used Distress Oxide Inks (in my next life, I will definitely own some Pan Pastels!)
This second card uses the same stamp set, but with some changes, to make the two cards look different.
Last, I found a place that looked like I could make cuts without ruining the image, and cut the panel into four pieces. The pieces were mounted onto a dark blue mat, and then onto a white card base. I like the window look this achieved!
Hope you like it, and are inspired to check out the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Blog (link below) for more inspiration from the design team!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being a guest designer. You're awesome!
ReplyDeleteThese two cards are so serene. Masculine cards are always nice to see, and here you did a magnificent job. This is a cool stamp because it has the reflection already on the stamp.
Cool beans.
