Pretty Wings and Love in the Air

Hello Friends!

I'm here today to share a pretty card that was created using the
Die-Versions stamp set, "Love is in the Air" DV-9016, and
Die-Versions die, "Pretty Wings" Whispers DVW-383.

I've been a wee bit smitten with the new Bokeh technique, and thought I'd give it a try today, for this card.  I masked off a section in the center of a white panel, and just created oodles of circles of different colors and sizes.  I came back in with some white ink with the final circles.
When I had the background finished, I cut very thin strips of the black and aqua cardstocks, and
created a tiny border on each side of the sentiment.
Two of the beautiful butterflies were cut.  One was placed off the edges of the focal panel,
and the excess trimmed away.  The other was mounted at the top of the card with some Tombow glue, and the wings were lifted up for dimension.
The last step was to scatter a few sequins.  A girl has to have a bit of bling, right?

I can't wait to see what the next new release from Die-Versions bring!
Check back soon, as they should be here any day!

Hope you give this fun and easy technique a try for your backgrounds!

If you want to do some shopping for dies and stamps, be sure to check out the Die-Versions website! They have some wonderful dies that cut like butter, and are so affordable!
And now - they have sweet stamps too!!!

Have a wonderful day - thanks for stopping by!

  9. I have yet to try the bokeh technique, Patti. Yours is lovely, so maybe I really should try it. That butterfly die-cut is amazing! Did you use a dryer sheet to get all the little pieces out? I like the way one of the butterflies runs off the page.
