So happy!

Well, hello!
Where has the week gone?
Hope you are all doing well, and crafting like crazy!

Before I get started here, has anyone tried the new, improved Blogger? I keep getting a link pop up asking me to give it a try. NO WAY am I pushing that button until someone out there says it's okay!

I mentioned that I had some exciting news.....well here it is!

Monday was a very exciting day for DD.
If you follow my blog, you know that she moved out to Colorado on the 21st of August.
She's gotten settled in very nicely, taken care of the mundane things like drivers license, etc., and started her new job on Monday the 29th.
She had a good day on the job, and came home to beautiful red roses from her handsome man - LOTS of beautiful red roses! How sweet is that???
Well, dear friends, it gets better!
After dinner, this wonderful, handsome man, proposed to our beautiful daughter!
And...she said yes!
We are so excited for them!
They just glow when they are together, and they are always smiling.
We wish them as many blessings as DH and I have shared plus some!
She has some cute photos posted of her, Nick, and Rosie on her blog, if you want to sneak a peak!!!

* * * * * * * * * *
On to my card for today! I needed a card for some neighbors who brought us up a wonderful basket of fresh eggs a few weeks ago. The eggs were so cute - several different colors! I just couldn't wait to ink up this new C.C. Designs Sweet Pixie, Country Lula for them. When I saw that the Wednesday Challenge at All That Scraps was a photo inspiration, I knew just what the color scheme would be. Hope she makes you smile!

Thanks for stopping by, and for letting me brag just a bit!
Have a great day!
I'm off to see what all of you are up to!

Scripture Box

Hello dear friends, and Happy Tuesday!

It is a beautiful day here in Missouri,
except
for the skunk that decided to spray our bushes last night.
Ugh - right outside the door where my girl cave is.
Oh well, this too, shall pass, eventually.........

I have a short post for you today, as I have lots to do.
Clear Dollar Stamps added a template for a Scripture Box this month!
If you have a cutting machine, you can get this box template for your cut file
programs (hope I'm saying that right).
If you do not have a cutting machine, it's also available in PDF file format,
which is what I used. It's very easy to put together - so simple!!!
One sheet of CS and a few Prima flowers some Stickles and one brad later, voila!
Hope you like it!
I used a friendship verse, also from Clear Dollar Stamps (it's a digi image),
instead of a scripture, and will fill the box with candy for a friend! This box is
designed to hold a scripture on top, and additional scriptures on the inside of the box!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope your day is filled with delight :)
I have some exciting news to share, but can't do so just yet, but have no fear, I'll be back!!!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Sweet Day...

Happy Sunday, fellow bloggers!

Hopefully, you are all well, and out of harm's way.
First an earthquake, and then a hurricane....goodness, what a week for some of you!

I have a very 'clean' card to show today! No bling, no buttons, no ribbons, just clean!
I needed a card for a friend, and this one just evolved!

The images, sentiment, and "Sprinkles" DP, are all from Clear Dollar Stamps.
The set is called Yummy Cupcakes, and is pre-colored.
It comes with several digital images, both pre-colored and outlines,
pre-colored DP, and sentiments. What a deal!!!
The butterfly punch is a die. I'm embarrassed to say that the wrapper has disappeared.
I think it's made by Cheery Lynn Designs, but can't say for sure. Shame on me!

Thanks very much for stopping by, and have a wonderful Sunday!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

We have a WINNER!!!

I'm pretty sure that you are all smiling, as today is FRIDAY :)

I have a very quick card for the Wednesday challenge at All That Scraps.
The challenge calls for earth tones: moss green, blue, and browns, and an image that can be purchased at All That Scraps.

I chose to use one of my newest stamps - She's Abigail, and she is a C.C. Designs, Sweet Pixies stamp.
She's got her little suitcase, and she's missing someone special.
Hmmmm....maybe it's DD missing DM??? lol...
Didn't have much time today, so made a CAS card.
All coloring is done with Copics.
The DP is from a new Prima paper pad that I ordered from Joan's Gardens.
It's called Reflections, and I think it's totally yummy paper!
The flower and pearls are from Michael's.
The adorable sentiment is from All That Scraps, and is an Amy R. collection called "Wish You Were Here".

That's all I have for you today - it's been a hubub of trips to and from the vet - shots and checkup for new brat dog, and grooming for old brat dog!

I almost forgot - WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

The winner of the August/September Issue of Stamper's Sampler is:

*** NETTY ***

Netty, congratulations, and thanks so much for always leaving such nice comments!
Please drop me an e-mail, and I'll get this out in the mail on Monday!

Be sure and check back next week, as we will be doing this again!!!

Sadly, this week, The Angel Company had to hang up their wings.
I know that many of you, dear readers are 'Angels'.
If any of you are looking for particular TAC stamps, please let me know, as I have OODLES of TAC stamps.
Most are retired, but some are current.
If I don't have what you are looking for, some of my friends might!

Don't forget! You still have time to take part in the Doodle Pantry Stock the Pantry Challenge! Just use any Doodle Pantry Image - how easy is that?!!!?

Hugs and smiles,

Patti J.

Lots to share today, and some Blog Candy!!!!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

I don't even know where to begin!

Thanks to everyone who left such sweet comments on DD's blog.
She made it to her destination in 19 hours. There was to be a crew there today to help her unload the large and heavy things off the truck, after which she should be able to return it to U-Haul.

We are so thankful for a safe and uneventful trip, AND that she didn't have to climb through the trunk to get in and out of her car!
lol...

I made this card for her.
On the envelope, I wrote that 'even the Missouri bugs are missing her'.

The image and sentiment are from Clear Dollar Stamp's Newest Release. This set is called "Praying Eyes Mantis". My card is gatefold style, but I turned it on edge for a bit of a twist!

You can't see it, but there is a pretty good border of yellow on each flap. That's where the message is written, but I hid the mushy stuff so that none of us would be blushing!

EEKS!!!!!

I just saw that I have a blogaversary in about 30 days - now, how did that happen?
Seems like we just celebrated TWO years, and now it's soon going to be THREE years!
Time flies when you are having fun, meeting wonderful people, and drooling over beautiful creations during blurf sessions!

I'll have to give this some thought!
Last year I gave 2 prizes, so I need to plan on 3 this year!!!

Speaking of prizes........
Here is another magazine that is up for grabs!

Just leave a comment on today's post telling me what your favorite crafting magazine is!
If you are a follower, leave a second comment for two chances to win!!!

Last, but not least, take ten magazine has published two of my cards in this issue!

You can see a card on page 63 that features The Craft's Meow wonderful stamps, and on page 114 is a card using a beautiful sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs, and a pretty butterfly from The Angel Company.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great evening,
Patti J.

Let the move begin!

Let the move begin!

So, after a whole lot of packing and re-packing, loading, and unloading, here is the final shot of the truck and trailer. All that was left to do was to put the ramps up, tie down the wheels, and wait until O-Dark Thirty this morning to leave.

Nothing to it, right???

Tee hee...WRONG!
Now, I'm sure that you are all wondering why DD is in the trunk of her car on her belly...
lol... you will have to go to DD's blog and read the story in her words.
She is an excellent writer, and I guarantee you that you will laugh out loud!
Hopefully, you can read her story, and leave her a cyber hug!

Here she is, with her beautiful smile, ready to begin this journey!

Thanks for stopping by - hope your day has been full of blessings.
DD, if you are reading, we are so proud of you and for you. Good luck! We love you!!!

Hugs and blessings to you all,
Patti J.

Checking In

Hi there! Just thought I'd check in and let you know why I've been MIA.

Took DD for the removal of a pretty good sized cyst from inside her foot on Tuesday. She's doing well, and it seems that the foot has a bit more range of motion each day.

On a sad note, many of you remember that she moved back to our area from New York, to a town about 45 minutes from here, about two and a half years ago. She has accepted a job offer in Colorado Springs, and is driving her U-Haul and towing her car out on Sunday. So....needless to say, mom has been spending every available moment with her. It's a very mixed bag of emotions. The job is an excellent career move for her, and she has a wonderful man in her life that is in C. Springs, so we are so very happy for her. Ahhh....but of course, we are sad for us, as we'll miss her and our granddaugherdoggie, Rosie, sniff sniff.....tissues, please! What's silly, is that she has lived in Louisiana (11 hour drive), Pittsburgh (10 hour drive), New York (18 hour drive), Taipei Taiwan (14 hour flight) until the last 2.5 years! It's not like I'm not used to her living far far away...I'm such a wimp!

Send up a few prayers for safe travels for her if you don't mind :)

Thanks for being so understaning about my absence - I'll try to get back to 'normal' on Monday. In the meantime, I'm off to grab some more tissues and watch a girlie flick with DD.

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

SK8R Boy

Wow, it's already Tuesday - hope that your week is off to a good start. The weather has been beautiful here the last few days!

I'm taking DD to the city today, for what appears to be a 'last resort' treatment on her foot injury, so please send up a few prayers. We are all hoping that this works, and she can resume her exercise and running.

Meet SK8R Boy!
SK8R Boy is" a digi image that I found over at My Time Made Easy - isn't he adorable?
He was so much fun to color!

I took this photo late last night, so it's quite dark and fuzzy....when will I ever learn??? lol!!!

All coloring is done with Copic Markers. DP is Basic Grey, and CS is Bazzill. White CS is XPress It. Star punch from Dollar Store (many moons ago)

I'm going to enter SK8R Boy in the sketch contest at My Time Made Easy Blog.
Here is the current sketch:

Have a great day!

Hope to see you back here tomorrow...

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

New Digi Release Day! Tea-Riffic!!!

Hello, and Happy Monday to all of my Tea-Riffic friends!
And a very Happy Birthday wish to my bestest ever stampy friend, Shirley!
(The color of her birthday wish has something to do with her birthday gift...)

My goodness, where has August gone? It's already half over.....

Which means....

It's New Digi Release Day at Clear Dollar Stamps!

Wait until you see the fabulous Digi Images that Lori has for you this month over at CDS!!!
You are going to want every set - no kidding :)

The set that I chose to work with today is Tea-Riffic.
I've created a gift box, with a set of four cards.
You know me and my Kraft, so the box and card bases are all Kraft.
Hope that you enjoy the variety of colors and layouts.
This set comes with OODLES of images and sentiments, AND...there is a matching paper pack! All of the DP on my cards is from the matching paper pack!

For this card, I cut a Dollar Store doily in half, and sponged with Spun Sugar Tim Holtz Distress Ink. Everything's up on dimensional squares for depth.

Card #2

Hey sugar, it's Card #3!
Look at those darling sugar cubes!

Isn't this lilac paper the softest and prettiest? Bring on the tea party!

Here is the box from the top...

And again from the side, showing the cute little lilac ball fringe that I found at Hobby Lobby...

If you have a friend, or a nice neighbor that is a tea drinker, just think of the possibilities! Christmas will be here before you know it...or how about those craft fairs???

Hope this set makes you smile - I certainly enjoyed working with these beautiful PRE-COLORED images and papers! Easy, peasy! Hurry on over to Clear Dollar Stamps to check out all of the wonderful new releases, and the see the beautiful creations of the Design Team!!!

Hugs, and blessings,
Patti J.

Sheesh...I've done it again! I had this issue of Just Cards, and guess what...I bought it again! So, I think it's time for a bit of 'Itty Bitty Blog Candy"!

Just leave a comment on today's post telling me what your favorite dessert is! Easy peasy! If you are a follower, you'll have TWO chances to win!

I have a quick card for you today, as well. This uses the pre-colored image and DP from the Doodle Pantry Little Lighthouse set. I think this set is so pretty, and makes up quickly. What a nice card to send someone to say hello!

Hope you are having a good weekend!

I'll be back on Monday - it's New Release day at Clear Dollar Stamps! See you then!

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,
Patti J.

What do I appreciate?

Hi Stampers!

It's Thursday! Hang in there, peeps, Friday's just around the corner!

So...Are you curious about my title?
Well, I decided to play along with the Wednesday challenge at All That Scraps this week.
The challenge was to use ATS stamps, AND to make paper buttons.
Ha ha, my buttons looked like little purple aliens!
So...I one hundred percent appreciate my grandmother's button jar! Absolutely no doubt!
Whew. Thought I'd never get that Baker's Twine through those alien eyes :)

All coloring is with Copic markers, and all DP is Reminisce. I'm also going to enter this in the sketch challenge at Reminisce this week. Here's the sketch!

Hope she makes you smile - I only have one Magnolia image! Hmmm....there are flowers, lots of flowers, there are summery colors, and she's all dressed up in summery, sheer fabric, with eyelet trim, I think I shall go ahead and enter her in the ATS Magnolia challenge too!
The theme is: "Hot, Hot, Days of Summer".

Have a good day - I'll be around to visit this evening - have a bit of housework to do today!

Take care,
Patti J.

Crabby...

Hello friends - Hope you are well.
I'm a tad bit 'crabby' today.
Am trying to potty train Sophie, and she has her own ideas about when and where to potty.
I'm normally a very patient person, but my patience is wearing thin!

Anyway....on to my card!
Since I am crabby, I thought it a good day to pull out my Doodle Pantry Quirky Crab set and create. This set comes with both the outline and pre-colored images, two designer papers (both used on my card), and four sentiments, for only $2.50!!!

This one is pretty self-explanatory - didn't even have to color!!! If you have questions, let me know!

Hope you are having a great Wednesday!

Hugs and crabbiness...

Vintage Auto

Wow, this one really got me outa my comfort zone! What a fun image! This is an August New Release from Doodle Pantry. If you haven't checked out this month's HUGE release, head over and spend a few minutes shopping!

This is called Vintage Auto. It's colored with Copics, and sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Used a small Nestie under the sentiment, cutting off the ends so there is only a top and bottom design. Ribbon loop from my scrap drawer, and Tim Holtz Tiny Stapler to hold it on the card.

Love the image, but not happy with my card. Thank goodness tomorrow is another day! Another opportunity!!!!

Have a great day!
Patti J.

Just Because...

Guess who made a card this evening "just because"? Yep, yours truly!

This card is made for the Wednesday Challenge at All That Scraps, which is Anything Goes.
I've used the CC Designs Swiss Pixies Ice Cream Birgitta, and the sentiment is from the "Wish You Were Here" set by Amy R., also found at All That Scraps.
The DP is Echo Park, and the bling is Michael's.
Butterflies were punched with Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, CS is Bazzill, and there are some white Stickles and Brown Spica Glitter Pen on her ice cream cone.
All coloring is done with Copics.

Hope you had a great weekend, and are off to a perfect week!
Ours will be busy, but hopefully, survivable!!!

Hugs and blessings to all,
Patti J.

Doodle Pantry August Releases are Here!!!

Good morning!

Where in the world did July go? I blinked and it's gone!

It's August 5th, and that means Laurie has stocked the Doodle Pantry with the new August releases! And what a HUGE release she has this month - wait until you see how many new sets are available!

I am using the Topiary Seasons set today.
Oh my - this set has so many pieces!
You can choose your season, your topper, your planter, what fun!
The stamp that I'm using today came complete, and was pre-colored.
The designer paper is also a new release set this month, called Four Seasons Papers.
You will squeal with delight when you see all of the paper choices in this set!

These little acrylic frames are so much fun to work with!
For mine, I printed the image from the Topiary Seasons set, and the sentiment from the Daffodill-Sweet Peas set.
Both were matted on a rust CS scrap.
I printed the sunflower DP for my background.
This was put IN the frame.
I also printed and matted a calendar.
The sunflower topiary was printed again, and this time I cut out the flowers to use as embellishments.
All items were put on the frame with Velcro dots, so that they can be changed out for the different seasons.
A small post it pad completes the front.
On the back, I used the DP with a Pentel RSVP pen, and a velcro dot, so there is always a matching pen available!
It, too, can be changed for the next season.

Hurry over to The Doodle Pantry to check out all of the fabulous new sets, and to see what gorgeous creations the other DT members and our three special Guest Designers have put together for you!
While you are at the Doodle Pantry store, check out Laurie's great August deals - wow!
The specials start today!

We have also posted a new challenge (DPBC15) on the Doodle Pantry Blog.
The theme is simple - Use a Doodle Pantry image.
If you don't have any DP images, you can go to the DP store and snag a freebie!!!
ALL PARTICIPANTS in this challenge will receive a pre-selected image for free,
and one lucky participant will win a $15 Doodle Pantry Gift Certificate!

Can't wait to see your creations in the challenge - have a great day! It's FRIDAY!!!!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

It's All About the Candy Corn...

Hope that all is well with you! It's SO hot here, and now the AC is out in both cars. I give up. I'm going to give DH a daily shopping list and stay inside until it snows! lol....

I know, it's WAY to early to be Halloweening it, but I simply had to.

Really, there was no choice!

I've been wanting to do a challenge at the Impression Obsession blog, and I only have two of their stamps. One is Halloween themed, and the other is Christmas themed. (I hope my set is still current!!!) The current challenge is to use the color orange. Somehow, 'O Holy Night' in orange sounded pretty yukky, so, the candy corn stamps won out!

Supplies used:

Stamps: Impression Obsession
Bazzill Basics CS
ExpressIt CS
Copic Markers
Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink
Dimensional Squares

Have a great evening! Back soon with some new releases from The Doodle Pantry!

Hugs and smiles,

Patti J.

Does Anyone Have....

Good morning!

So...I'm hoping that the smartest bloggers in the world can help me out here!

As you know, the newest family member in the household, is a furry four-legged pooch. There have been a few times (okay, several times) the past couple of weeks, that she has mistaken the floor for the outdoors, leaving behind a puddle for me to clean up. Happy, happy, joy, joy.

I am wondering if any of you have one of those Shark Steamer machines for your floors?

If so, I'd love to know how you like them. Do they REALLY get stains and odors out of the floor, or do they just push them further into the floor?

I'd really appreciate your feedback on this! They aren't cheap, so I hate to throw money away on a rotten product, but if they really do work, they'd be worth every penny. I sure don't want this house to begin smelling like a kennel!

Have a great Weds., dear friends! I'm having lunch today with a friend that I haven't really seen much in two years - looking forward to seeing her!

Take care,
Patti J.

Hoppin' with The Craft's Meow...

Welcome!

It's August 1st, and today is the big day - The Craft's Meow has all of the August stamps available today! I'm glad that you're here to hop with us!

If you have come here from Nina Brackett's blog, then you are in the right place! Hopefully, you started at The Craft's Meow blog, where there is a complete list of hop participants - You don't want to miss any of today's fabulous creations! One lucky winner will walk away with the entire release, so be sure to leave some love (a comment) on The Craft's Meow Blog!!!

After you're finished here, hurry over to Sarah Martina Parker's incredible blog, where I'm pretty sure there will be some amazing eye candy for you! If you have any trouble linking along the way, hop back over to The Craft's Meow!

For my project today, I used, "Owl See You in Class", designed by Jenny Suchins. Here's what I did:

Every teacher LOVES chocolate, or at least that's the rumor!
(Wonder why they always get apples???)
I had some packing material that came between glass sheets,
and thought it would look cute around the candy bar.

Next, what teacher doesn't need pencils?
This cute little pencil holder was CASEd from my good friend Shirley (isn't she talented???)
We made these a good while back, and when I was trying to come up with teacher 'stuff', I thought of it! I changed it up a bit, and voila!
Ahh.....I have such talented friends!
This adorable post it holder was also a CASE from
my friend Shirley...it's an easel - no kidding! Cute as can be! I can't believe I forgot to get a photo from the side!

And as you know, the fun thing about easel projects is that they fold very flat for mailing!

This little teacher care package needed a tag...

...AND a bag!!!

Hope you liked this week's sneak peeks!

Head on over to Sarah Martina Parker's blog now - oh my goodness, she is SO talented! You'll love what you see there!

Have a great week!
Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.
