Happy Tuesday, everyone!
I don't even know where to begin!
Thanks to everyone who left such sweet comments on DD's blog.
She made it to her destination in 19 hours. There was to be a crew there today to help her unload the large and heavy things off the truck, after which she should be able to return it to U-Haul.
We are so thankful for a safe and uneventful trip, AND that she didn't have to climb through the trunk to get in and out of her car!
lol...
I made this card for her.
On the envelope, I wrote that 'even the Missouri bugs are missing her'.
The image and sentiment are from Clear Dollar Stamp's Newest Release. This set is called "Praying Eyes Mantis". My card is gatefold style, but I turned it on edge for a bit of a twist!
You can't see it, but there is a pretty good border of yellow on each flap. That's where the message is written, but I hid the mushy stuff so that none of us would be blushing!

EEKS!!!!!
I just saw that I have a blogaversary in about 30 days - now, how did that happen?
Seems like we just celebrated TWO years, and now it's soon going to be THREE years!
Time flies when you are having fun, meeting wonderful people, and drooling over beautiful creations during blurf sessions!
I'll have to give this some thought!
Last year I gave 2 prizes, so I need to plan on 3 this year!!!
Speaking of prizes........
Here is another magazine that is up for grabs!
Just leave a comment on today's post telling me what your favorite crafting magazine is!
If you are a follower, leave a second comment for two chances to win!!!
Last, but not least, take ten magazine has published two of my cards in this issue!
You can see a card on page 63 that features The Craft's Meow wonderful stamps, and on page 114 is a card using a beautiful sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs, and a pretty butterfly from The Angel Company.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great evening,
Patti J.
Food for thought:
One learns more about a road by traveling it than by memorizing all the maps in the world!

Patti, so glad your daughter made the trip safely... I am sure you will miss her. Congratulations on your publication, will check this out. I am a big fan of Cards magazine and love the special editions from Papercrafts. Wishing you a great week.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the traveler arrived safe and sound and didn't have to do any more acrobatics! Hahaha! The card you made for her is so cute! Great colouring!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being published in the Stamper's Sampler magazine! I don't think we get that one up here in Eastern Canada :( It looks so interesting. I usually have to have Paper Crafts for their fun card ideas.
Congratulations as well on your three year blogaversary! As you say, time goes by so fast but look at all you have accomplished in that time! Wooo-hooo!!! :)

Glad your daughter is safe. I love Stampers' Sampler, use to buy it all the time, haven't been able to much lately. I have had cards published in the, have them put away safely:O)I have the issue and pages on my blog, I need to get them out and scan them and put the pics up. I used to send cards into them all the time, then I moved with my son, didn't have time, now I have time, but don't buy magazines very often...crazy :O) Have a great day! Hugs! Leah Ann
ReplyDeleteSo glad beautiful Melissa made it safe and secure.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite used to be the Rubber Stamp but since they're not around anymore I've had to move on. I really enjoy Paper Craft Mag. Glad to have found your blog. I'm now a follower!
Hiya, Patti! Take ten is my all time favorite magazine for cards. The price tag keeps me at bay most of the time. I always have it on my Christmas list, but noone wants to give me a magazine for Christmas.Congrats on being published there!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your DD made it with out any setbacks. She will be fine and you will be so proud! Yesterday's earthquake was quite the eye opener here in PA. Each child called to say they were evacuated and standing in a street in their seperate states. Now a hurricane is churning toward us for the weekend. DD has a camping trip for her bachelorette party. DS is at a beach bachelor party. Mommas never stop worrying!
Love this buggy guy and your coloring is super duper! Hugs!
glad prayers were answered for the safe trip!!!!
ReplyDeletePatti, congratulations on your cards being published. That is wonderful and so deserved!!!
ReplyDeleteYour praying mantis card looks amazing. I LOVE the grass you added.
I think my favorite card magazine is Papercraft. Its the only one I have a subscription to. It's fun to see names of people I know in there.
