It's All About the Candy Corn...

Hope that all is well with you! It's SO hot here, and now the AC is out in both cars. I give up. I'm going to give DH a daily shopping list and stay inside until it snows! lol....

I know, it's WAY to early to be Halloweening it, but I simply had to.

Really, there was no choice!

I've been wanting to do a challenge at the Impression Obsession blog, and I only have two of their stamps. One is Halloween themed, and the other is Christmas themed. (I hope my set is still current!!!) The current challenge is to use the color orange. Somehow, 'O Holy Night' in orange sounded pretty yukky, so, the candy corn stamps won out!

Supplies used:

Stamps: Impression Obsession
Bazzill Basics CS
ExpressIt CS
Copic Markers
Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink
Dimensional Squares

Have a great evening! Back soon with some new releases from The Doodle Pantry!

Hugs and smiles,

Patti J.

  1. You just crack me up! I have the Halloween cocktail that matches this, with the pichfork stir stick. LOL! This is so cute, and thanks for the reminder, as I have not done their challenge in ages. Please keep cool.

  2. What a great idea to look to the future and out of this heat wave! Love your candy corn tree - have you ever mixed candy corn with dry roasted peanuts? It's suppose to be like a Payday candy bar. I tried it once and it was way toooo sweet for me, now that's sweet! Sorry I haven't called, it's been a busy catch up week!

  3. GACK! I'd go crazy coloring that many candy corns on one card, but what a fun stamp and card you made with it! And yes, while I'm all for nontraditional colors on Christmas cards, an orange O Holy Night card seems wrong on many levels.

  13. Too cute and love the moon behind the tree. Anything fallish takes the heat out of the air. I think I might have one or two OI stamps, will have to check.

  22. I know I sound like a parrot, but I have to say it again ... I LOVE this card!!! I love how you did the spellbinders background and the dots around the edges with parts of the images hanging over the edges! Fabulous! Hmmmm ... here I go again ... But wouldn't it be cute to glue real candy corns on a bare tree image! ... ok, maybe not. I didn't say all my idea's were good! ha! I have REALLY missed chatting with you my friend! BIG HUGS, Melisa
