Smell the Sea

Hello, friends!

It's closing in on July - Cold natured me is finally getting warm!

So today, I have a pretty, and CAS (clean and simple) card to share with you. This card showcases the Shell and Turtle Frame and Smell the Sea from the June release at Technique Junkies.

To create this card, I took my silicone craft sheet, and some blue distress oxide inks, and smooshed the inks onto the craft sheet. The next step was to spritz some water onto the inks, and smoosh the card down onto the white panel. I let this dry for a long while, placing it between some paper sheets, and heavy books (to be sure it dried flat). Once dry, I trimmed to the size I wanted, and stamped the image and sentiment with a fine black ink. The panel was matted with a very fine black mat and adhered to a card base.

This was another easy and quick card! I hope you will decide to make some of your own!
Remember that my code at Technique Junkies is: TJPatti10, and it will save you 10%!

Hoping there's nothing but happy in your day!

Patti J.

  2. This turned out so pretty Patti! I love your color choices and that smooshing technique is always so fun to do! The shells work great with the colors too! Glad you are starting to warm up! If you're over my way, you can enjoy up 106 degrees with the heat index added. LOL Have a great week my friend!

  4. Whenever I can, I like to smell and hear the sea. I love it when I can be lulled to sleep by the waves hitting the shore. Your card reminded me of that. Love it!
