On July 16, 2011, hubby brought home this sweet little girl. I had a ‘name that dog’ contest on my blog, and Sophie was the winning name. We are sad to say that Sophie crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning at doggie E.R. She had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure a couple of months ago, and had a terrible last few days. The labs today showed that her liver and kidneys had shut down. So far, 2023 is not too much fun! Sophie is now running and playing with her doggie sis, Flake, and Wimpy, our grand-dog. Fly high, sweet girl - we love you!

ReplyDeleteOh, Patti, I'm so sorry. It's really tough to lose a fur-baby. My daughter just lost one of hers to congestive heart failure a few weeks ago, too. So, so sad. Sending you a big hug, and may memories of Sophie fill your heart and mind and even make you smile.

It is gong to be hard the next time I come to your house not to have Sophie nipping at my toes. She put up a good fight but you all had to make the hard decision to let her go free. Hugs
