Wisteria Background

Hello friends!

Today, I'm sharing a pretty card that I made, using a beautiful new stamp from the April release at Technique Junkies.

Today, I chose to work with Wisteria BackgroundI thought it would make
a pretty card.  I admit that I had to go to google to see what color my blooms should be! I was happy to see the gorgeous shades of purple and lilac, and couldn't wait to color my image!

Here's what I made:

The background was stamped onto white cardstock, and colored with alcohol markers. I adhered the panel to the card base, then pulled out a favorite stencil by A Colorful Life Designs, Grunge Dots. Using an Ink Blending Brush, some orchid/purple Distress Oxide inks were blended over the blank areas of the card front.  The sentiment, from the Four Little Sentiments set, was stamped and stenciled as well, prior to using a punch and some dimensional dots to pop it up on the card front.

These background stamps make it so easy to create masterpieces!

Don't forget!!! You can save 10% (on any order that isn't already discounted), by entering TJ10Patti at checkout!

Be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and do a little crafty shopping!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

  1. Beautiful card Patti, your blooms are so pretty and I love your dotty background too. We visited an old stately home one that had wisteria growing over the front of the house and it was absolutely stunning

  3. You had me at "purple," Patti! It's my favorite color. I love the look of Wisteria, too. I don't believe it grows as far north as Minnesota, but I've seen it in the south. Love your card. You are always so creative, and your cards are beautifully executed.

  4. Such a pretty card - and I love the purple. It has been a long time since I have seen wisteria in real life so this one brings back some nice memories. Great job.
