Hello, my creative friends!
I'm super excited to be guest designing for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps for the month of March!
I got to work with this company the last two years, and I very much enjoyed creating with their beautiful, high quality stamps. I was eager to get started with the fun stamps that the owner, Lynn Anderson sent me this month.
I was asked to use this stamp set in two different ways. This first card was colored with Copic markers. After coloring, I used a 'Cloud Edger' stencil, some Distress Oxide Inks, and Ink Blending Brushes to create my clouds. Once that was done, I wiped it all down with a baby wipe to 'mute' the colors. Isn't this kitty the cutest?
I thought it would be fun to go with a totally different look for the second card, so I decided on a monochromatic look. The image was colored with Copic markers. Then I spritzed the back of the image with water and used a 3-D embossing folder on the image. Once this dried, I used an ink blending brush to distress and 'age' the image. I am pleased with the look!
Hope you like these cards, and are inspired to check out the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Blog (link below) for more inspiration from the design team!

ReplyDeleteA perfect image for all the cat lovers. And, I love the darling way you used it on your cards two different ways. Well done my friend. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove both cards! Adorable kitten. Could be used for any occasion.
ReplyDeleteOh Patti, you rocked these out and I'm sure you felt proud after have completed them. They are both so intriguing for different reasons. The clouds on your first card really makes the card. Your colouring is terrific and so is this kitty. Rock on! Your second card is very unique. You really thought outside the box and I love it. Makes for a nice masculine card too.
ReplyDeleteTwo fab kittie cards Patti, and both very different! Love your beautiful sky in the first, and the texture of the second is such an interesting effect X
ReplyDeleteWOW! What a great stamp, and your cards are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThat little kitten is so sweet. I love both cards. The texture on the second one almost makes it look like tooled leather. Fabulous creations!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable kitty and scene. Love the sky you created in the first one and the second one looks like a vintage card, I love it! Both beautiful creations. I love Blue Knight stamps, they are wonderful.
