Hello, my creative friends!
I'm excited to be guest designing for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps for the month of October!
I got to work with this company last year and I very much enjoyed creating with their beautiful, high quality stamps. I was eager to get started with the fun stamps that Lynn Anderson sent me this month.
I was asked to use each stamp set in two different ways. The first card is stamped and colored right out of the package, with no embellishing. Isn't is a beautiful, peaceful image?
This second card uses the same stamp set, but with some changes, to make the two cards look different. I'm hoping the above card looks like a summer scene, and the card below looks like an autumn scene! That was my goal, at least!
For the above card, I spotlighted part of the image, by cutting it out of the focal panel, and matting it with the same cardstock as is on the large mat behind the focal image. The spotlighted rectangle is adhered over top of the main image, using foam dots for dimension.
Hope these cards inspire you to check out the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Blog (link below) for more inspiration from the design team!

These are GORGEOUS! LOVING the bridges and the water!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty - I am leaning to the second one as it reminds me of our beautiful fall that we are now having. Great job.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a gorgeous image stamp! How I wish I were there! I love that you've colored it up for the different seasons too! the Fall looks so stunning!! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration friend! HUGS
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Patti!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, peaceful scenes. I love the "calm" these cards invoke. When I look out my window right now, I see 6 inches of snow! Very different from what you've depicted.
ReplyDeleteNice colouring. Yes, one scene says summer, the other fall. How cool to the spotlight technique with it. Im drawn to the autumn card.
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards Patti... what a great scene image! I like both coloring, but the spotlighting adds a really nice touch to the second card. :) Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are stunning, hugs, Lori m
