Serenity

Hi there, crafty friends!

I have THREE posts today, so if you are looking for my Technique Junkies' New Release blog hop post, or my 2 Crafty Critter Crazies post, please don't give up - scroll around until you find them!
It's time for another Repeat Impressions Stamps Designer's Choice challenge at The House that Stamps Built. I am this month's hostess, and I thought 'Christmas in July' was a fitting theme! So, I challenged the design team to use their RI stamps to create something using the theme: "Christmas in July".

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

First I stamped the background trees, by stamping first on scrap paper and then on the focal panel - this is called 'Stamping Off'. The trees were stamped three times to go across the full panel. The large tree was then inked up generously and stamped directly to the panel. Some white 'Wink of Stella' was dabbed on the trees to create a bit of snowy sparkle.  The card was finished up with a pretty die cut, some gold cardstock, and a beautiful sentiment!

Couldn't get a great photo with the metallic cardstock in the background, so here is another shot. You may actually have to enlarge these to see the white whispy shimmer.

This was a fun challenge, and I hope you'll all join in! Get those Christmas stamps out, and get started on your holiday cards!!!

We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s DCC theme, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
One lucky person this month will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

Check out my sidebar - grab the code to save money on your RI orders!

Now, it's time to see what my DT friends have created!
