Good Morning!
It's finally beginning to feel a little spring-ish here in Missouri.
That's what I typed on May 1st!
That's what I typed on May 1st!
Fast forward to May 15th. Yesterday it was low to mid 90's. Today it's hoodie weather again! Mother Nature is certainly confused this year!
I promised to come back today with a tutorial on these two SUPER easy treat holders that I created for the May challenge on the Scor-Pal blog - 'May Flowers'. The challenge is to create something with more than one fold, and some form of May Flowers.
My project was two little gifts that I gave each class participant at an April workshop.
If you've never made either of these, they are the easiest EVER! Lots of fun scoring, and only a little taping!
Thanks for looking! Hope to see your creations in our monthly Scor-Pal challenge!
You still have time to be the monthly winner!
We also have a ton of inspiration on our Projects on the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to help you get creative!Challenge at Scor-Pal!
Okay, here's how quickly these go together - let's get started!
For the Ghirardelli Holder, you will need a 6" x 6" square piece of double sided designer paper.
Place as shown on your Scor-Pal, and score in half, from point to point.
Place as shown on your Scor-Pal, and score in half, from point to point.
Now, with the long, flat side at the bottom, bring one side over, as shown, and burnish.
Repeat with the other side.
Fold down and burnish the 'front' flap. Your treat holder now has a shape!
All that's left to do is fill and decorate as desired!
For the second project, I started with a piece of designer paper that measured 5 1/2" x 4 3/4".
I rounded the edges on ONE of the short sides.
Next, score with the LONG edge at the top, at 1 1/2", 3", and 4 1/2".
Use a small strip of Scor-Tape to close box in middle. Here's what your box will look like.
Decide what's going in your box. I chose a small Dove Chocolate bar.
Slide candy bar into box, using a small piece of Scor-Tape to hold the candy bar inside.
Decorate as desired!
Happy May!
Patti J.
