Hello!
So glad you stopped by today!
Here is the photo that we were given for inspiration:
Well, you know me and my 'love' of photo inspiration challenges! To me, the scenic ones are the toughest. The photos are so beautiful, but I have total brain lock when working with one.
I guess it's why they call them challenges, right?????
When I looked at this photo, I was drawn to a few things...the 'valley' of trees, the heart shaped clouds, and just the thought that this scene would take ones breath away. So here is what I made today, using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:
The trees were stamped first, with black ink (I stamped off first on a scrap,
so the image wouldn't be too dark). Next, the heart was stamped with a
light sand colored ink. The sentiment was stamped with black ink, and
the entire card was sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
The panel was mounted onto a Kraft card base.
Now, it's your turn!
Come on over and join us in our Photo Inspiration Challenge! If I
can do it, you can do it!!!
Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps,
but if you do, you have double the chance of winning!
I can't wait to see your beautiful cards using this photo!!!

ReplyDeleteI know you think you don't do well with these challenges, but I think you captured the inspiration photo perfectly! And that sentiment is fabulous. I keep seeing stamps on the rest of the teams' blogs that I didn't even know RI had.
ReplyDeleteOh, Patti, this is a great interpretation of the inspiration photo, and it's a wonderful quote I've long loved. And what a great way to make the heart subtle with your card using the ruffled heart! I love it! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI would never have thought to use the ruffled heart with this, but look at how lovely you make it work with the inspiration. Well done, and just when you thought you were terribly challenged!!! Hugs, my friend!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Your creation is magnificent, Patti. It's breathtaking. An amazing take on the inspiration photo.
