Elegant Butterflies

Good morning, happy Saturday, and
Happy Halloween!

I'm here to share a lovely card that I made, using these

I've sponged a gentle faded background, used an Amuse die to 'split' the background panel, and stamped the butterflies. The butterflies were stamped again on a scrap,
colored, and fussy cut. The top butterfly is adhered flat to the card base. The other two are glued only in the center, and pulled up on each side to resemble butterflies in
flight.

See you next Saturday with another project for Great Impressions

I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use Great Impressions stamps be sure to link them up in our Customer Gallery!
Last time I looked, there weren't very many entries, so you should join in!
You could be the lucky winner!

Creative Visions Stamps

Happy Monday, one and all!

We just returned from California, where we were so honored to be able
to attend a baby shower for our son and daughter-in-law.  John and Alicia love
Halloween, so the shower was a Halloween themed shower, complete
with the guests coming in costumes!  It was a wonderful weekend. Alicia's family is so
warm and loving. We had a great time visiting with everyone, and I must admit,
seeing that 'baby bump' in person just made our weekend perfect!
I'll hopefully have some photos to share later this week.

I thought I'd share the last two September projects that I created for Creative Vision Stamps.

This set is called Two Feet.  Again, this is one that I love, and will use over and over!

This fun image is called Halloween Kitten and Mouse. It comes two to a package,
in two different sizes. Isn't it totally adorable???

Well, that's all I have for today!
Next month, I will share my October creations with you. October's
stamps had me stepping WAY outside my comfort zone, so be prepared
for almost anything :)

Hugs and grins,
Patti J.

Seasons Greetings!

It's Saturday, and I'm
here to share a pretty card that I made, using these

I wish you could see this card in real life. I've sponged a gentle faded red around
the image, and it looks so pretty.

I really like the dimension on this. I fussy cut a second poinsettia, and
adhered it with foam squares over top of the main image.

Here's a photo taken from the side.

See you next Saturday with another project featuring some fun stamps

Creative Visions...Take 3!

So, here we are at the end of the week - wahoo!
Even though I'm retired, I still get excited to see the weekend come.
Some habits just hang around forever!

Here are a couple more Creative Visions Stamps projects from my September
DT cards.  Hope they make you smile!

This fun sentiment is called Marriage.
Click the photo to enlarge, so you can read the whole thing.
So true, so true....

This stamp is called Three Bare Trees. It comes two stamps to a package, in two sizes.
Love it!  Will be creating with this one lots and lots!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Patti J.

Creative Vision Stamps Take Two...

Good morning!
Happy Monday, everyone - I hope you have a delightful week.

We just returned from a nice 'date' weekend.
My handsome Mr. and I drove down to Batesville, Arkansas to visit some family
members, one of whom plays in a band. We were able to have some great
BBQ, visit with family, and watch a performance!
From there, we got up the next morning and drove over to Eureka Springs, Ark.,
and took in the Great Passion Play. Oh my goodness....
We had been before, years ago, but there is nothing like this. If you are a
Christian, this is an experience you should spoil yourself with sometime.
It's an outdoor ampitheater setting, and you feel like you are actually
there, walking with Christ.

So here we are, back to Monday, back to the grind!
I thought I'd share a couple more of my Creative Visions Stamps projects
with you today.

Enjoy!

This is one of Laura's 'Sassy Girls'. This is called Workout Cookies. Isn't she just too
much fun?  And......admit it, we have all devoured a whole box of cookies at some point in our
lives, right?

This fun sentiment is called Life.

I need a beautiful, vivid black ink that I can use with or without alcohol markers.
Any suggestions????

Thanks for dropping by today,
Patti J.

Happy Holidays!

It's Saturday, and I'm
here to share a creation that I made, using these

I wish you could see the sparkle on this card. There's sparkle on the
sentiment, the trees, and the snow, and it looks so pretty!

This image stopped at the front of the horse, and the back of the sled.
I took a fine point marker, and filled the white panel.
It's hard to see, but the ladies collar, hat, and muff are fuzzy
with Fun Flock!

I really like the way this one turned out!

See you next Saturday with another project featuring some fun stamps

Creative Visions Creations...

Hi there!
Wow, can you believe October is nearly half over?
Time flies when you are creating, right?

I thought I'd share what I made for September, for my Creative Visions Stamps DT projects.
Hope you like them!

This first card uses a fun image, Christmas Kitten and Mouse. This image comes in two
different sizes, so you get two stamps for the price of one!
The mouse has a fun-flocked (remember that stuff?) hat, and a glittery bell, and some glittery holly.
The mouse has a glittery bow.

This set is called Two Deer, and also comes two to a package, in two different sizes.
If you ever have need of a man card, this was an easy-peasy design!

That's all I have for today!  I'll share more cards in future posts.
Just got a package with my stamps for November, so I'm going to be creating today!

Thanks for stopping by,
Patti J.

Repeat Impressions Project of the Week

Hi there, crafty friends!

It's my day to bring you a Project of the Week on the Repeat Impressions Blog,

Today, I've chosen to CASE (copy and steal everything) a card from the talented Stampin' Up!
folks. I'm not sure exactly where this card originated, but there are directions for this
Pop Out Swing Card on Pinterest.

I've used the beautiful Repeat Impressions #5127-K Maple Leaf (sil) for my card.

First, create your A2 card base. For my card, I chose a fall-ish
patterned paper.  Score your card base.

Next, look through all of your awesome Repeat Impression Stamps,
and decide on your focal image.

Stamp your image - I used a Kaleidacolor pad, and sort of turned it as
I stamped, to create a blend of colors.

Fussy cut your image (or stamp directly onto your focal panel if you prefer).

Cut your focal panel and mat to your desired size.
My panel ended up being 3" square, and my mat is 3.25" square.
Here is my finished focal piece;

Set this piece aside for a few minutes while you work on your card base.

If you have a die that will work, you can use one here.
I did not, so I merely drew out where I wanted an opening,
and used my trusty exacto knife to cut out my opening.

Here's what it looks like after the opening is cut out.

You will need an insert piece for the inside of your card.
This needs to be 5" x 6".  Score on the 6" side at 2" and 4".

My paper is double sided, so here you are seeing the blue back side of my
5" x 6" panel.  Fold your panel in a valley and mountain fold, and apply adhesive to one end.

Leave a nice 'even' border around your panel, and adhere it to your
card base.  It will look like this:

The on-line instructions I found, said to apply adhesive to your
focal piece next.  Instead, I chose to 'close' my card, and apply the
adhesive to the inside panel that showed through the opening.
Here's what it looked like:

Now, place your focal image directly onto your opening, being
careful not to let go until you are sure of your placement.

Stamp your sentiment (be sure to stamp your sentiment prior
to adding the inside insert. Don't ask me how I know this :)

Here's the finished card standing up.

And here it is opened up.

I also stamped and sponged a bit on the inside of the card panel.

Thanks for taking the time to stop and look!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Saturday!

It's Saturday!
I have a fun card to share with you today, using these

K102 Harvest Vera and Mable
C484 "Wheelie"

Mable and Vera are the cutest gals ever, and they are
always up to something!  They remind me of my friend, Shirley,
and myself - always looking for a way to have a good time!

Here's my card:

So...am I pushing Shirley in the wheelbarrow, or is she pushing me?
If you go by the blue 'toenails', she's pushing, and I'm riding!

Here's the inside of the card (since I colored with Copics directly onto my card base,
I needed an inside panel to cover up what bled through):

See you next Saturday with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions

I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Thanks for stopping by,
