This is the inside top of the card. I like to keep the entire bottom free, when writing my Chemo Buddies, or Senior Buddies. This card will go to my Senior Buddy, so I need to write a lengthy note! |
Using the beautiful patterned papers, I sponged some ink, and stamped the Flourishes images directly onto a scrap, just large enough to fit behind the Grand Madison Window Die. The window was die cut, also from the patterned paper! It was sponged to distress it a bit, and adhered with dimensional foam for some added delight.
Put everything together with some pretty ribbon, and TA-DA! Clean, simple, and a bit of Window Fun!
I have a new box of Scraptownlady fall themed yumminess on the way, so be watching for some brand new items next week!
DID YOU KNOW.....Scraptownlady has started offering a 20% discount EVERYDAY? On EVERY order? And she still calculates shipping based on her actual cost (including cost of box for 12 x 12 items). Where else can you get low, low shipping AND 20% discount?
Thanks for stopping by!

Designer Tip: When I receive a handmade card, I love when it has dimension - popped up items, wiggly things, soft and fluffy ribbons, etc., so next time you are creating, be sure to add something fun. Whoever finds your card in their mailbox will not be able to resist touching and feeling all the goodness!

I love cards with window frames on them. . .as a matter of fact, I am working on a Halloween card using my window die. I would have never noticed your "oops" if you had not pointed it out. This is a wonderful card. Hope all is well! Hugs, Curt

ReplyDeleteNope, wouldn't have noticed it wasn't straight until you pointed it out ... but then straight edges aren't exactly my forte LOL. Gorgeous card Patti, your sponged sky is so pretty through your window :)
ReplyDeleteYour card is sooo sweet Patti! I love the colour of the pretty sky behind the little lady and it's such a sweet touch to see it through the window. (And we never say our cards might be stuck together a little wonky. It's simply the way the camera captured it when we photographed it!) lol
ReplyDeleteI am sure whoever you send it to will forget all their troubles for a little while and just enjoy their lovely message and thoughtfulness of their special friend who thought of them. Cheers! {{{hugs}}} :)

ReplyDeleteWell, I looked & looked, and I don't see anything 'crooked'. It's just pure pleasure to the eye. Love that silhouette behind your window - loved the sponging & use of patterned paper. Lovely backgrounds as well. Like the blue papers against your window frame. Also great on your sponged background behind the silhouette. TFS & Hugs
