Old McBarn

Good morning, and welcome to our new release hop!
Adela Rossol, of Creations by AR, has been very busy, creating a fun set of templates.
The first template is Old McBarn - what fun!
Barn Closed

Barn Open

Next is a matching card - called Old McBarn Card, of course!
Card Closed

Card Open

My barn and card began with plain white cardstock.  I left the windows, doors, and trim white, and sponged the other pieces with Tim Holtz Weathered Wood Distress Ink.  After I had it evenly sponged, I then scored lines to hopefully resemble siding.  Once the 'siding' was done, I sponged again, but with Antique Linen Distress Ink, allowing the score lines to be a bit more pronounced, and the barn to look older.

The barn roof comes off to hold items of your choice.  Mine was filled with yummies!

The card is adorable - the doors open in front to reveal one of Laurie Wilson's adorable Doodle Pantry pre-colored images, Quirky Donkey.  I sized, printed, cut to fit back of card, and adhered. Voila! The card actually opens on the back for your message...too much fun!  Not only that, but check it out - it folds flat for mailing...tee hee!
Card in A-2 Envelope!
Be sure to check out the rest of the Creations by AR team - they have some great projects to share! As you hop, be sure to leave a comment.  Each of us will give away one of the new templates!  Check back Saturday to see if you are the lucky winner!  Happy Hopping!

Patti J. (that's me!)

So, I have to share that my hero for this hop was my teamie, Sue.  She was so sweet, and offered to cut my files and mail them to me! (If you follow my blog, you know that I use my scissors :)  I had her just cut everything in white, not knowing how I would decorate them.  When the envelope arrived, and I saw all of those windows and doors, I was happy dancing at the post office - no kidding!  The cuts were all straight, so I could have cut them by hand, but it was nice not to have to do so!
So thank you, Sue Kment, you rock :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Patti J.
