Doodle Pantry September New Releases!

Happy Labor Day!


It is the 5th of the month, and you know what that means -
It's New Digi Release Day at Doodle Pantry!
There are LOTS of fun new images this month, so be sure to stop by
the store to check them out!


For my first card, I used a new September set, called "Quirky Bat".
I'm pretty sure that a Halloween bat is supposed to be spooky, but
honestly, have you ever seen a cuter bat? lol...


This set comes as a pre-colored digital image set, as well as outlines that you can color yourself, several sentiments, AND digi papers! I chose to use the outlines, and colored them with Copic markers. The DP, however, is pre-colored and is a part of this fabulous set!
The center step card seemed perfect for this cutie patootie!




Next up, is a fun set called "Antique Slot Machine".
How much fun would this be for friends heading to Vegas?
I kept this card very basic and simple, so that Laurie's image would be the focus.



Just look at all of the fine detail on the front!
I added one of the sentiments to the front of the slot machine -
it seemed like a good place for it...
The intricate scrollwork and edge trims were colored with Copics and highlighted with Spica Glitter Pens for a bit of shine and sparkle (unfortulately the photo didn't pick this up).

    Thanks for the warm welcome Patti, it is so much fun to be on a team with someone you already know...I love both of your cards,love the way you cut around the bats wing and the step card is perfect for him.     Two great cards on this "I don't have to go to work day!" Picture me jumping up and down! Although I did bring work home with me that has to be done today so it's ready for tomorrow. Oh well, I'm playing with my gear first! Have a greaet holiday.

    Oh Patti wow! I totally love both of these cards! I agree I love Laurie's halloween images because they aren't scary and this bat is just too cute. OK I'm telling you now I am going to copy your idea of cutting around the wing - LOVE THAT!! Wonderful creativity with putting the txt on the slot machine - great job girl! These are both so fun!

    Oh Patti, not one but two fantastic creations. Love the mix of colors and wonderful coloring of the bat. Your antique slot machine really takes center stage -- love the crisp design and awesome coloring.

    Patti these are fabulous cards. I just love the stair step design for that darling bat - a perfect layout for it. And your slot machine card is gorgeous - I love that simple but perfect design and the rich elegant color scheme. Hope you're enjoying the holiday weekend!

    Two wonderful cards Patti! Before Jay got really bad, we traveled to Las Vegas at least twice a year. Vegas is the only other place in the country that I would ever live. We have such great memories there. Hope you are well! Best, Curt

    Love the cute little bat - (but not in real life) the colors are great. And the slot machine - super coloring - but I don't pull that handle very often - I spend my $$ on too many other things.

    Oh my Patti...such great cards. Your bat card is so stinking cute. Great image..love that he's just "hanging around"...and your slots card is so appropriate for my neck of the woods, with casinos on virtually every corner. Fantastic job on all your creativity, Patti.
